Am I the only one here who has ever ridden toe clips? I feel old. I am old I guess. I used to ride my toe clip pedals in soccer cleats with rubber spikes for better foot retention. Nice and tight in the chunder on my fully rigid bike but soft enough to be able to rip them out when in need.

No reason more companies couldn't license it as well. I'm sure that's what chris is angling for here.

No sir not at all. Its a cbf bike so it'll pedal better then any of your other enduro / trial bikes out there. Its also been setup to use the same shock set in different mounting holes to achieve different travel values and leverage ratios. Its literally a dh, enduro, or trail bike dependent on the build. I bet it outrides most others that can only do one as well. The steel (Ti coming soon) frame makes it better damped structurally then others as well. They are really cool rigs. Both the canfield bros offer superior products in my...

Vampire is not really a "fad" bike in the sense you're making it to be. Chris has a patent on multiple pivot locations and you get 3 bikes in one - classic low pivot, medium height and proper high pivot.

Uhm actually Shimano Dura-Ace Track 7700 launched in 1996 is the longest running unchanged shimano gruppo. /nerd And yeah most spokes versions are 20+ years old. D-light was 2010 and CX-Ray was 1997 for Sapim.

I mean the Minion DHF celebrated a 20th anniversary. If that is not longevity in this industry, IDK what is. They have been my favorite tire nearly the entire time I have ridden bikes seriously. I try something new every year or so and end up back on the DHF. Three wheelsizes later and I am still going after DHFs for my preferred tire. Speaking of wheelsizes, saw a post by DirtySixer showing 32" wheeled bikes 😒

No high pivot, no idler, no flip-chip, no bonded lugs, no belt, no cable tourism, only four bars and a single chain? Will they even be able to ride that thing?

Here's a better picture. I downloaded this in September and I have no idea where I got it. I made a whole post about it yesterday but I deleted it because my speculation was based upon the rocker looking like the Wild. This is likely an aluminium mule.

I've been following the vampire stuff very closely since launch, even got my name down for a frame a while back. Not sure if I'll go through with it, as I'm very happy with my current bike I built recently. The most up to date information can be found on the vampire mtbr forum, from what is available it'll be...

Just a minute… would that mean, if they used your described configuration, AND won an elite WC, that Gates would give them… TWO hundred thousand dollars?!?
