Bushing require tight tolerances and proper maintenance. The cycling industry is crappy at tight tolerances. Most cyclist are crappy at maintenance. It's a win win resulting in the horrible reputation that bushings have. Like press fit bearings, they are the correct engineering solution. But that would require the bike industry to stop being crappy.

A collection of the Australian Scott importer's franchisees abandoned the brand entirely about a year or two ago because sales of the current models were "bad for business". Quite a fall considering the Spark was once the most common bike around here. Innovating its way out of the MTB market apparently... anyway further discussion about Scott specifically might belong more in the "will more companies be shutting down..." thread than here.

77designz just released their new bar after parting ways with WeAreOne. Looks like they are using the same principle as before with a thinner 33mm bar and a thicker 35mm stem clamping area. Instead of a alloy sleeve it is just thicker layup. Their previous bar was 258g and this new one is 220g. 100% - Id like to believe Enduro-MTB was on the receiving end of some brand hate after they were very honest with several Bikes - now their opinion is crap because its influenced. - This kinda stuff has quite an effect on site sponsors/advertisers aswell I remember being on a german forum When they published the pre 24 Sentinel Review(pub 2nd jan 21 but its been edited a bit since first published) and Several Enduro-mtb guys were saying the bike was crap. - From my own experience it wasnt a great bike. terribly balanced and shoddy quality - atleast they(TR)...

This, i just spent 3 days on mine, they are considerably better than any shimano offerings in the 'ride feel' category IMO. I hated Shimano SPD's because of the freeplay they have before 'float' kicked in. The only Thing I've found is how tight full loose is - kinda wish Oneup had gone slightly less tension as full tight is Knee/ankle killing tight. I Normally run Mallet E LS's and they are perfect tension for me.

Hm, does the seatstay mount even clear the chainstay? Obviously it has, it just looks a bit weird from this angle.
