1/7/2025 10:57am The dream is that one day all discussion in this thread will be de facto banned due to virtually every bike-related topic being relegated elsewhere.

1/7/2025 10:56am Cane Creek? They built a USD for gravel so would have experience to move to mtb. Although not sure they qualify as a major sus player.

1/7/2025 10:56am EXT is working on one. They acknowledged it in the comment section of a post on their new dual crown USD. Not sure if they're big enough to be considered a major suspension player.

1/7/2025 10:56am The highest compliment a topic can get: a stern insistence the conversation be moved out of the Tech Rumors discussion and into its own thread. I feel like I just watched Bearings grow up, go to college, and get accepted to medical school. You'll do great, kid! We're proud of ya'!

1/7/2025 10:55am Given that Marzocchi is Fox's economy brand and gets old Fox tech, I doubt it will be Marz The rumor above also did not mention if it was a single crown or dual crown...

1/7/2025 10:55am I dont know that dust wipers have a longer life but the dust and mud is sitting on the wiper the same way. Gravity is working for you on a USD fork. So, I have a dorado 37 that I adore. When it comes to life, the open bath TPC cart in the damper leg looks like it could almost never be serviced. Wipers stay good, oil never gets water and dirt ingress and stays silly clean and sliders well lubed. The air spring side stays clean but the grease breaks down faster. If someone wanted a no maintenance fork...

1/7/2025 10:16am Live that guy. He has very few problems with designing a prototype and testing it. His main holdup is the added complexity of getting a sellable batch made. It's why he's stuck with small CNC machining. Also saw his Psalm 150 on display at the EXT tent at sea otter. It's a little bit of aluminum art.

1/7/2025 10:12am Looks like I'm late to the party since I've been on vacation. Brakes are definitely not easy. Between custom seals, custom tools, and some necessary knowledge that isn't widespread, good brakes take a lot. I would say they are either third or fourth most difficult thing on a bike behind the frame itself, the fork/shock, and, depending on specific design, the dropper. Some droppers are pretty simple, though. Frames are only on that list because doing a full blown production run requires tons of testing and the tooling is more complex. Brakes definitely are not something that anyone with a...

1/7/2025 10:09am Something seems very fishy around Cast. I can't tell you what yet, but I would bet money on it. I'm expecting a bunch of half baked ideas and quarter baked forced marketing (Mous case anyone?) before they drop off the map while Tarek laughs all the way to the bank.

12/26/2024 12:16pm Yeah, I would. There are enough ways to manipulate the way it feels that'd it be cool to ride it on different designs. I had a Genie shock show up this week (*was not in a bottle). If/when I have other test bikes that the shock fits I'll toss it on to see what it's like.
