1/19/2026 1:32pm Has Frameworks made any statement about their iron cross usage? It’s a worse look now than it was on those Worlds bikes.

1/18/2026 4:45pm Things are moving. For the initial public release, we're going all-in on grassroots racing, the "Strava-like" activity tracking pirate ship will come later. From my point of view, grassroots racing is where the gap (and my passion) is, and it's where we can deliver something genuinely better from day one. The upside: Garmin integration ships with iOS/Android/web app launch. If we see the traction we're expecting, we can build all sorts of cool activity tracking stuff, but it just doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to start with that. Happy to answer questions. Cheers

1/16/2026 5:40pm Didn't Pinkbike have an article ready to go before they received a legal letter? That might be why there haven't been any "bottom-getters".

1/16/2026 4:11am Hope they do all of the track walks in full balkan style three stripes tracksuits! (we all know this is probably related to the Adidas owning 5.10 but there might be more to the story, anyways it is indeed great news to get such a big name as a sponsor)

1/15/2026 6:08pm Ella hasn’t raced since 2024 even though she was on the Trek team for 2025. Her last post (removing the Trek team announcement in early 2025) on social media was October 2024 where she crashed a bunch of times at MSA. I think it’s more to do with Ella stepping away from racing last year rather than being dropped by Trek.

1/15/2026 9:46am RE Ed Masters: Pivot HQ likely cut funding going towards racing for 2025. And probably with instructions to get a rider like Dylan, and if the enduro team had to be cut, so be it. Pivot was likely shelling out $150k+ for Ed (salary + travel expenses, etc.). The team clearly had some substantial budget reductions from 2025 to 2026... Pivot is likely saving well over $250k in salaries and expenses from last year, even with signing Dylan.

1/15/2026 9:20am Pivot Factory Racing not a World Series team.. As some of us alluded too a few days ago. The Pivot X Maples deal is already not looking great for Dylan. We can assume PFR will get a wild card spot at each race. But not ideal to not have that guaranteed spot. Although maybe PFR wanted it that way to save costs?

1/15/2026 4:35am The short answer is that ideal flat pedal shoes depends hugely on the rider and application. Long answer: I've tried most commonly available flat pedal shoe brands at this point. In terms of rubber grip, there are only 2 that I'd rate 10/10: Five Ten and Specialized. The next closest (still quite a bit far behind) would be Fox at like 8/10, and Ride Concepts I'd put at like 7.5. I have flat feet, so the only brands that fit in terms of width for me are Five Ten (Impact Pros & Freerider Pros - none of the shitty Adidas...

1/14/2026 2:51pm Not sure if they're even still a thing but Semenucks signature Etnies were pretty cool gripped like vans but had just slightly more support but not so much that they were like the super hard sole shoes for people like me that don't like that option.

1/14/2026 8:10am For what it’s worth here’s a piece of advice that was pounded into my head when I ski raced. “Never hold a tuck at the cost of executing your turn” aka if you can’t efficiently turn while tucked, don’t tuck. It is a lot harder to actually hold a good turn tucked than you might think. Just cause these DH guys aren’t full aero stance from top to bottom doesn’t mean it isn’t worth trying to optimize aero for the sections where they can be tucked.

1/13/2026 7:21pm If only Aero was that simple. Plenty of DH teams have tested in the past (most recently FMD and Canyon) but NONE have taken it further than that. There are just too many variables in DH. For example anything that helps with straight-line will have a massive negative when there is any kind of cross wind or need to turn.

1/13/2026 6:26pm Trek and QBP just had layoffs (again) today. This is the third time at Trek in the last 18 months and I believe at least the second time at QBP since COVID. I just exited the bike industry myself (started a new job this week!), it’s definitely rough out there!

1/13/2026 2:48pm I agree, it seems like the brand may have made it a priority to the team. Furthermore and this is getting in the weeds here for sure, but I wonder if Pivot envisions a scenario where they buy the race team out or have Maples buy the race team out and run it in the future? I'm sure he's getting...
