I just gotta say, as far as mtb online community contributions to the lexicon go... crab link is way better then downcountry. I agree, it looks like it’s full 27.5. It seems like an odd business decision though, other brands seem to be trying to cut down on number of models. Currently Transition has the Sentinel (can be long shocked to 160), the Patrol (160 or 170 depending on shock), and the Spire (160 or 170 depending on shock). Adding a 4th bike in the 160-180mm range is an odd choice. The Patrol is great in a Dual Crown Freeride setup. Maybe they’re gonna combine the Patrol and the Spire into one bike. Did the maths on all the current crop of e bike batteries. They're all within ~10% energy density wise. Everyone is using the same format of cells so I suspect the DJI battery is just longer and thinner. That gives it's own challenges from a weight on bike point of view.

Yt paid team fees to ESo or UCi to enter this year. It would be a nice gesture to give that money back to the Mob riders if they are owed portion of their contract. Riders definitely need a better union because these big bike companies have too much leverage and face no accountability. YT should be banned from world cups for 5 years

dude, they gave andi kolb a 4 year contract which didn’t even last 10 months!! it’s his first year on YT. and since we now know that YT wasn’t flush with cash for at least the last 2-3 years (thx to some forum members here). it‘s really shady to kinda trick him into signing when they‘ve been standing on weak legs financially for years!

I completely agree with this. As much as I like my job, there's no way I'm paying to do it. I feel like YT could have gone about this differently. If I was a YT rider, I'd be doing what Oisin is doing, which I don't think it's hurting his future team chances.

I love what I do for work and feel privileged to be able to do it. But, if my employer wasn't paying me, I sure as sh*t wouldn't turn up for work in uniform. In fact they'd be lucky to see me at all.

This isn’t YT’s first time pulling the plug on a race team and not giving any notice. Ask Gwin about that. And according to the team manager in the video, they found out the same day the press release went out to Pinkbike, Vital etc. They all stated they aren’t getting paid anymore and are funding themselves for the final races. I can see why some of them choose not to represent YT on their jerseys.

When you are paying your own way to the races and supporting yourself why would you promote a brand not helping you? They are still riding that frame. How did YT spoil them? By paying them a salary? Kolb said in the interview that he had higher paying offers and went on YT for the long term. That didn’t happen so why promote them?

Oisin said in the PB interview that he bought the jersey and pants at the bike park out of pocket because it's what he feels comfortable and good about.
