10/12/2025 3:59pm people have stated before that double-O to trek is a done deal and they even wanted him mid season after the YT turmoil began. but YT was shitty enough to not pay him AND won't release him so that he couldn't switch teams.

10/12/2025 3:58pm Dak off Mondraker seemed to be a speculation, especially with the YT riders looking for homes.. Dak and Pinky in the top 5 at MSA is great for both of them. Dak's US Open win is a comeback story that could be a Lifetime movie.. Pinky has been trending in the right direction lately.. Ronan is damn exciting to watch because you know he'll be pinned and it will be, in his words, helicopters or podiums.. Hopefully, the team just holds onto all 3 of them..

10/12/2025 2:14am This is not to take away anything from Dunne, I think he's one of the top of the heap right now, especially in the long run, but he can be a bit ride or die, which has come through a few times this year with big results or none at all with crashes/smashes that caused DNF's or low placements, or podiums with 10-15th places otherwise, which is amazing don't get me wrong Dak on the other hand, even missing half the season because of the non race related accident and having to rebuild from not being able to train or...

10/10/2025 10:40am Don't forget that someone like Danny Hart is also employed for MTB development. That's in some ways more important than results. At least in the initial phase. I also see him as a good linespotter althoug that might be not the main purpose. I would rather see him as a rider, but his time as a podium contender is probably over. But we need more Peatys as voaches and overall good performance oriented dudes at the top of the world rankings.

10/9/2025 7:19am Having ridden a DJI powered bike (Mith) extensively, to the extent I still have an order in for one, and also having a Bosch Gen 5 bike, with the power upgrade, the post above covers the pertinent points. I don’t think there is that much variance in efficiency, all things being equal, but I don’t buy into the notion of “if it’s not got a DJI it’s not selling”. Bosch outsell DJI at a rate of thousands to one, they aren’t going anywhere with the latest motor. It’s really good & fractions different in the real world. The problem is...

10/8/2025 10:56pm I can't imagine that (a one year contract). Last season riders owned the points, which should have given them the upper hand in contract negotiations.

10/8/2025 10:49pm I think it will be a very interesting off-season. Many riders who were unlucky this season will probably stay on the track. The new UCI rules are not good for the majority of riders, especially since there is no feeder series. I assume that riders ranked below 22nd will have a very difficult time. Greenland, Hatton, Hart, Wilson are some of the ones I'm worried about. Wilson has a team, just like Gwin. But both riding and managing seem difficult to me today. Kerr is good, but his injury has ruined his season. There will be a big shake-up and...

10/8/2025 10:47pm Results were pretty damn good before he crashed a bit 2 race ago. He was 6 or 7 in the overall. With an almost no-budged-team. He has also learned not to overcook the runs like 3 years ago or so.

10/7/2025 9:37pm The Avinox is clearly a nice unit, but I view the Bosch as much quieter (only motor that disconnects when freewheeling), free-er pedaling when power is off, has built in bash ring protection where-as the DJI motors need the 245 gram E13 bash ring, has better weight distribution, more service options and importantly more efficient. There are also some that feel the torque sensing is lacking on the DJI. It would appear that the DJI is about 20% less efficient than the Bosch, even when power is equalized. That means on a meters climbed per watt, the Bosch is actually...

10/7/2025 9:36pm For all you forum diehards who skip the homepage, here is some insight and our thoughts on Specialized first-gen proto downhill bike that went live today - https://www.vitalmtb.com/features/piece-bigger-puzzle-testing-specializ… It was a privilege to ride this bike and, as you'd expect, it was a damn fast. I'm eager to ride the production #2chainz bike, which I'd guess is coming early next year just based on the vague answers Spesh has given when pressed about it. Fingers crossed it won't cost an organ to buy one.
