2/5/2026 5:02am Hello! I admit I have seen the ”Shimano Reports Bike Maintenance a Hidden Barrier to Participation” title on the home page and I got curious. I didn't read the entire thing, nor did I read all the comments here, as I don't have time right now (but I will make some time to read), so excuse me, but I feel the urge to say something. From my understanding, Shimano is whining that in Europe people are cycling less, because bike maintenance is hindering them. Did I understand right? If yes, than I find Shimano to be at least a bit...

2/4/2026 2:17pm @AnthoMisterK Regarding this team being "too French:" What's the team's preference in the hard cheese vs soft cheese debate? Is the butter and cheese budget higher than the bike lube/cleaner/sealant budget?

2/4/2026 8:10am How is the mood in the team regarding Daprelas allegations and departure from other teams in recent seasons? do you feel comfortable having younger female racers around someone with SA accusations?

1/28/2026 3:56am Primoz, my guy… I think you are WAY over exaggerating what it takes to swap coils inside a fork. You can do it in a parking lot with a few tools and a few minutes. Just because it can be done in a sterile laboratory with fancy tools doesn’t mean that’s how it has to be done every time.

1/22/2026 6:32am Comparison of bars with rise modeled in. Both have a similar max load. 35 mm bar is on top and 31.8 mm bar is on bottom. Bending moment is at its maximum on the inboard end and zero at the free end so I think it makes sense that the stiffness of the innermost section of bar is quite influential in terms of deflection. It's worth noting that, while the approximate 0.05" difference in deflection is a little more than 10%, we're still only talking about 0.05" difference. Thin vs. thick grips would easily take up that difference. Ultimately you...

1/20/2026 2:25pm Imagine choosing a standard that results in a heavier and weaker handlebar... 🤦 35mm handlebars are stronger and lighter than 31.8 for the same stiffness. The first 35mm bars in like 2012 may have been overly stiff but minus a couple of outliers that hasn't been the case for the better part of a decade now.

1/18/2026 11:42pm The fascination with Dak, Gwin and BK on this forum is wild and getting so boring! The pivot team are wearing different helmets who cares they are a team and they are racing, I’m sure the way that the bike industry is going people are getting sponsors but can wrangle a deal with other companies if they want, like in most sports they play for the same teams but they don’t have to wear the same boots/shoes/goggles
