7/23/2024 1:42pm How so precisely? The pod has possibly the worst ergonomics ever ( previous axs was nice ) Weak clutch Overpriced Overweight The main feature ( you can stand on it ) it’s completely useless as you never get side impacts but always front to back So far almost everyone I know that own it, and I work in a bike shop, has had trouble with it, either too much chain slap and had to run a chain tensioner pulley like the old dh bikes, or deralieur just broke down randomly, no signal, deralieur dead. While the warranty is great, still...

7/23/2024 12:29pm I think it has less to do with savviness and more with getting inside info from SRAM and Shimano on what they have coming down the pipeline in the next 5-10 years. Component manufacturers including drivetrain and suspension obviously go to all the major bike companies and give them a roadmap that shows where they are heading and what's being developed.

7/22/2024 11:11am All analogy is suspect but 😉 A laptop computer communicating with a wireless access point is smart. Communicating with a wireless mouse is a mostly harmless gimmick with some legitimate convenience added in some cases. Communicating internally wirelessly, like motherboard to daughter to storage etc, is kind of ridiculous. It’s a job wires are especially well suited to. I’m willing to take the word of the people who swap their wireless dropper post from bike to bike. That’s the mouse in this analogy. I think the wireless derailleur fits the third example best.

6/7/2024 10:37am Let's be honest, people are downvoting comments on Lewis brakes because their marketing/brand HQ is in China, unlike every other brake company that has its marketing/brand HQ located in the West but has its products manufactured in China.

5/20/2024 11:07pm Yes...it actually is outlandish, especially applying it to Enduro riders clipped in. If you think Richie Rude loses by hopping on that bike, you're in that sweet spot for bike companies to sell you the next best thing. Modern bikes can give you confidence if you need some mental crutch. But Ronan Dunne got 2nd on a single pivot in World Cup DH. Jerome Clementz rode a piece of crap Jeckyl rocker link single pivot to multiple championships. It's NOT the bike.

5/17/2024 2:50am I raced in the Open category this weekend and managed to reach every stage on time, with a few minutes to spare. The racers both in front of me and behind me also made it to the transfers on time. Although our transfer times were slightly longer than the elite's (by about 5 to 10 minutes), and we raced earlier in the day when the heat was more bearable, this shouldn't create a significant difference between us amateurs and the elites. I also competed in Finale in 2017, which was much more challenging with its two days of racing and...

5/16/2024 8:25am So far my biggest complaint is that I can’t set up a team. Meaning that it’s Thursday, the race is this weekend and it’s still unavailable. Just use the list from the last race and edit once qualies start. I would like to setup a team at least a week early. Dig into the web and make changes as needed. If for some reason I can’t get back to make changes I’m not hosed. PLEASE make it so we don’t have to wait until last minute to make preliminary picks.

5/12/2024 10:30am Just shows how much of a beast Rude is. The guy does not have the physique of an XC racer by any means, and he absolutely crushed it. Enduro as a race format isn't going anywhere, lots of really good races and series in the US. But the EDR/EWS whatever you want to call it is on life support.

5/12/2024 5:17am Yeah you're probably right, we're just guessing here. I was just amused that both times I've heard the name has been whining about something. Like I said I don't follow the world cup enduro since it's impossible without investing time I'd rather spend riding my own bike so I wasn't aware that other riders were complaining. I'm sure those finishing...

5/12/2024 4:48am Seems Bex needs to find some perspective, choosing to race a cycling event that no-one forced you to do, and one you can decide to stop at any time, somehow amounts to a violation of human rights? Get a grip. Last two seasons the professional EWS racers have been asking for big race days, especially as now all races are one day events. That's what they got here it looks like and racing was tight regardless. Look at how tight the men's top three was before final stage. Seems to me that those who prepared correctly for the season got...

5/12/2024 4:42am You're right, I don't follow enduro racing and can't name many racers off the top of my head. Maybe 5 male and 2 female without thinking too hard about it (I like to follow DH instead). I'm sure she's also aware of the endurance aspect of it which makes it more surprising.

5/12/2024 3:57am World cup enduro racing requires a lot of endurance, who would have thought? The clue is in the name. I don't know anything about Bex but this is only the second time I hear the name and the first time it was also whining about something.
