A Chainstay with flip chips for length and headset with reach adjust cups would help riders dial these in I reckon.

Weighting hands sucks. Such a not fun way to ride. I will transfer a little weight to my hands, but I want to ride through my feet. I think the rise in collar bone breaks caused by front wheel wash is caused by this trend in riding (especially when paired with clipless setups that I see as being necessary for that geo/riding style.) I like a full geo thread because most of the Long Rear Center folks are really just asking for bikes they can ride more upright and through their feet, which requires higher stacks, which lowers weight on...

Alright, I’ll join the debate. The idea behind “proportional” is kind of useless IMO. Sure, we can say the FC to RC ratio is maintained, but what does that mean for a rider? We are assuming that as the riders height increases, so do all body proportions. 2 riders can have the same torso length, yet be different heights due...

I’d asked him about it after seeing yours, he said it required a lot of time and work to make it fit, and realistically the cost just doesn’t make sense for most customers. Fingers crossed the new Fox USD will be an easier fit.

I'm going to throw my hat into the ring. "Proportional chainstays" are a marketing gimmick the way that the brands are currently using the term, with the exception of maybe forbidden. How proportional the rear center length is to the front center is 100% relative and not defined. What most people seem to talk about when it comes to "proportional chainstays" is the ballance between front wheel grip and rear wheel grip, or more accurately the weight distribution between the front wheel and the rear wheel. On level ground, a 100 kg rider on a bike with a 440 mm...

Seconded. I've never done anything that approaches his feat but I have done some stupid-hard things and this stood out to me as the key part: " This wasn’t a physical effort, but a mission of mental resilience." The physical fitness is just the start, not giving up, especially when it's real easy just to roll home, or not start the next day, is what's so impressive to me.

Hey everyone, I figured it was time to share a project that’s been quietly evolving over the last 10 months. I’m Laurent – a mechanical engineer and lifelong bike nerd. Together with my friend and coworker Axel, we’ve been designing and building our own custom enduro frame from scratch. This started as a passion project. We wanted to build the kind of bike we couldn’t quite find on the market. we’re just two guys who love riding bikes and wanted to make something that is durable, quiet, easy to live with, and above all, fun to ride. Somewhere along the...

Yeah - Some new Moto suspension from Intend. Sliding bushings in the front fork, and a newly developed air+coil rear shock. Shock only recommended for people above 85kg. Also modular shock mount, so you can swap between regular eyelet and trunnion mount, cool idea. Limited to 10 pieces, seems like they are already sold out. But we can hope they start selling the rear shock in the future, but in their normal colors. Seems like a lot of work to develop a full cnc'd one piece shock housing, and having springs made+speced by Eibach for 10 shocks. https://www.intend-bc.com/shop/moto/?v=efad7abb323e

yeap, you definitively need to try one of the new single crown USD ones.. keep in mind the crowns are massive, not comparable to conventional and do better job that crowns in conventional that are kept slim and lean for weight targets.. normally.. ..(I can only talk about intend, look at the flash)..Push seems equivalent...

Gotta admit I'm pretty excited to see this upside down fork battle play out, I'm guessing more manufacturers will join the race. Both Fox/Cane Creek protos look dialed, the CC takes the cake with its machined looks but I'd happily ride either.
