yes. i deleted because they asked. edit - further clarification - it's embargoed material that some brand, shop or media "hero" is putting on the internet. if shimano doesn't their images on vital and asks for it to be removed, i'll oblige. i would do this for any brand in the same situation. i don't control other websites the material may land on. if it was spotted out in the wild or posted on a site in error to be freely seen, well that's an entirely different situation.

Long time lurker in the forums, thought I'd finally chime in since I own an Edge. Riding background: 43yo ex middle-to-back of the pack pro. for me: noticeable more grip when braking and way less hand problems. i could ride every day in my 10 day finale ligure trip a few weeks ago with no rest day. the fork is just oh so supple. only problem: now i want my shock to feel the same, i felt my feet a lot more in this holiday in the evenings. and no, they are not heavier, at least the intends aren't: and flexy? you decide:

Is there anything in particular the Vital MTB population would like to know or see compared with these two forks? Honestly, everything. If you wrote a ten-page comparison I'd read every word of it.

The shock is "live" on the US Ext website: https://extusa.bike/products/ext-vecta $325 cheaper than the Storia V4. Euro pricing on the V4 is similar, so it will probably be around the same €750-775 in euros as well.

Here’s a quick update: The design is 95% complete — just a few small parts left to fine-tune. The finite element simulation is done and looks promising. Some shapes had to be optimized to reduce stress concentrations, and we’ve achieved a solid safety factor (to be confirmed with real-world and bench testing, of course). The rear triangle has been tuned to deliver the compliance we’re aiming for. That compliance will be adjustable thanks to an interchangeable bridge on the chainstays. We’re super excited and can’t wait to see the prototype come to life!

We had a request for clarification pop up on the post, here's the answer from Öhlins with some more details around the changes being discussed in the press release above: The new surface treatment has reduced friction, and the compression damping base tune has been backed off a little. As a result, the fork feels softer. To compensate, the spring curve has been made a little bit more progressive, through the addition of spacers in the ramp-up chamber (yes, it's still the same, 3-chambner design). The "booster" they mention is some kind of insert or spacer that reduces the volume...

yeah I'm not sure dude, I dropped the washer in the garage and it was never seen again lol But that bike (Dean Lucas 2014 Worlds Devinci Wilson) was like nothing else I have ever ridden (and I have had a LOT of bikes) It had the full NSR treatment while he was wrenching for devinci, when the local suspension service shop took apart the rear shock they were like "wtf is going on in here!" was as close as I'll get to been a factory rider lol

New mud guard apparatus for AON racing. I was thinking, could the mud affect a gate more than a chain if it gets thrown on it? (What the guard here seems to be for) A chainring tooth would fairly easy push any mud through the chain link gap, do gates do equally or less efficiently?
