tin foil hat time: Manufacturers conspire to eliminate a class of bike to pare down sku bloat. Chaz is proving the concept, why do brands want to make an overbike and a trail bike and an all mountain bike? Cutting out this awkward 170 bike (that everyone claims is overbiking) would save companies millions?!?

Transmission, it's weaknesses, and "solutions" for those weaknesses all seem kind of insane to me. Hey we have this little uvula looking thing on the back of frames which the derailleur attaches to. Usually, derailleurs aren't that expensive these days but just in case, it's meant to bend instead of allowing the derailleur to break. Because our frame is made...

Fraezen copied Cascade chainguide/bashguard design with just a slightly different attaching plate so frame compatibility is better https://r2-bike.com/FRAEZEN-chainguide-FUEHRUNG-and-Bashguard-black-30-… So I can understand why Cascade would be angry/pissed when someone say their derailleur cage is a copy of Fraezen cage design.

As much as I like cascade components, this cage is heavily inspired by fraezen cage that has been on the market for quite some time.

I experience accelerative phenomena with no chain all the time. Allow me a few minutes to generate some graphs.

Not sure where your heading there from but make sure to check the weather and dress for it, nothing will ruin the day quicker than being wet and/or cold (or one of your kids)

Zooming in on the photo. Adjustable progression on lower shock mount. Adjustable geo via seatstay chip Adjustable reach with headset cups. Custom chainset (don't know brand). It will be eye wateringly expensive (not from photo......it's just a Pivot).

I can't decide if this is better described as the most haggard regular bike or this sickest crackhead bike. Love it.

“Oops we made front center too long and everyone is afraid to commit to proper sized rear centers but we’re all still obsessed with long reaches that lets us ‘move around in the cockpit’ (what does that mean) so we will just have to steepen the hta to try to get some more traction out of that front wheel.”

Meh, it really depends IMO. For my riding, adding an angleset to 2017-2020ish geometry bikes (which over the last 7 years I have done many times) have improved them in every single way (downhill bikes aside). Not to oversimplify it too much, I think there's some relationship between wheelbase and head angle that on the shorter wheelbases of yesteryear, the...
