Chiming in to the running smaller wheels and correcting geo: I've used a Cane Creek Angleset to make a full 29er with no flip chip mullet. The lower cup is 10mm and with it in the +1 steepening position paired with a 10mm longer fork it gets the BB back close to stock. I did this on an ebike and didn't bang the motor up more than usual. Headset routing is the devil to most people because of maintenance, but giving up these adjustment options, reach and head angle are why it's the devil to me.

Carbon cranks and carbon bars both seem a bit sketchy to me. Ive seen quite a few snapped and it looks like it could hurt if your in a bad spot when it does snap.

Honestly, Cranks are the last place I think I need Carbon on my bike. Frame, Bars, and wheels is where carbon is good for the average rider. Let them keep doing the aluminum hollowtec II cranks, they're my favorite in the market anyways.

Another cool product I'm curious about. A couple years ago I would have thought it was hokey and unnecessary, but now after testing some of the new pedal kickback devices I'm drinking the Koolaid. Here's a thought to add to the discussion: adjustable lower pulley position to remove as much lower chain growth as possible. Idlers go a long way towards addressing chain growth, but only on the top of the drivetrain. I was having a sidebar chat with Erwan Ghesquiere (fellow nerd on this forum) about lower pulley position, because he's messing around with a moveable lower pulley and...

I agree 15mm is superfluous but there's a simple and cheap solution: just run Hope hubs on the front so you can switch between 15mm and 20mm with a simple end cap swap. (can anyone else chime in on what other brands have this?) I'm also lucky enough to be a RockShox fan, so my 15mm end caps are all torque caps leading me to have zero front axle interface complaints.

While I agree with the wheel availability issue, the reality is, 15mm thru axles should have never been a thing in first place. What did we gain ? 10gr over the from axle ? An additional, weaker standard that doesn't allow us to use our spare wheels on our DH and Enduro bikes. Same goes for 148x12 instead of 150x12 ...
