10/2/2024 12:52pm Is it wrong that I think this is more interesting than the Rail? 100% functional commute up to the office, reasonable amounts of fun on blue trails home. Now granted there's not a ton of people in my work-office situation...

10/2/2024 12:50pm This is where we're at right now. Thanks guys. Now as for that Haibike? I've seen worse. Looks better than the advent of FS-Ebikes from iZip and the like. I figure we're in the e-bike equivalent of the regular-bike y-frame era at the moment.

10/2/2024 12:44pm Question, does anyone know what a tuned mass damper would do for a hardtail? Or a full suspension XC bike? Like does this positively effect a bike more if it has more or less travel?

10/2/2024 8:52am I forget to check the site for a day and miss most of the biggest and most amusing thread derailment ever... Anyway my contribution to this unholy mess is that, IMNSHO, faux-bar designs should be referred to as seafood extender, aka crab sticks.

10/1/2024 8:35am Not sure if this was caught by anyone else, but Open might have just leaked some details on a new Shimano derailleur while promoting a new gravel frame of theirs? https://opencycle.com/blog/new-direction-for-up-and-upper

9/30/2024 7:50pm Wowzers, 490/495 mm reach in a large and 450/455 for a medium, maybe some people will love that but that feels like to large of a jump between sizes,.

9/30/2024 7:46pm I don't think there's anything about the Crestline, Hecker, or Bullit that ride poorly. From a personal perspective I'd go as far as to say I will likely prefer that set of bikes over the Vala. That is something that comes down to anti-rise. The one thing with shock tunnel bikes, though, is seat post length is limited. Going back to why I might prefer those three VPP e-bikes. This mostly comes down to anti-rise. Horst link bikes pretty much always have low anti-rise numbers at all points of travel. I've come to prefer bikes where anti-rise starts up around...

9/30/2024 12:24pm Funny Santa Cruz is like "VPP is holding us back on longer travel e-bikes, we have to move on" and Crestline's like "here's our 182mm VPP ebike!" Curious if Cascade is willing to comment on the Cruz' take or if they're a little too close to home to do so.
