Buckets Up Liked a reply to forum topic Assegai no grip zone
6/22/2026 12:37am This is wild and speaks to different people’s experiences. I dislike the DHF because I don’t think it offers any improved cornering grip and the grip that is there is vague and hard to tell when you’re near the limit. The Assegai on the other hand has better grip overall and I can tell better where I am at relative to its break free point. The only downfall to me about an Assegai is its rolling speed.

Evil96 Liked a reply to forum topic Shimano Drops New 2.2mm Thick Rotors in 200/220mm Sizes - Thoughts?
6/18/2026 1:43am i'm ready for the dislikes, but hell no, 262 gr for a 200 rotor is nuts, plus, it doesn't look flush just like the cheap shimano rotors that seem stamped, and the price is nuts too for what it is, Radic HD rotors are cheaper, thicker ( 2.3mm ) and 70gr lighter per rotor... i mean 140gr just on the rotors without any sacrifices and a better quality rotor overall, meh, i feel shimano has lost it in the last few years

bulletbass man Liked a comment about Press Release Öhlins Introduces New Downhill Crown for DH38
6/9/2026 7:56am Ohlins sells the crowns separate from the forks. You don’t need to upgrade yours if you don’t want to and I’d imagine the old ones will be phased out.

4/30/2026 4:17am I'm pretty sure you're right. The axle position on Kolb's bike is clearly lower than the original, which would correspond to a 27.5 rear.

4/30/2026 4:17am The V10 XL is 29" stock. Are you sure this isn't converting it to a 27.5"? The axle position suggests it's raising the rear end up to compensate for the smaller wheel.

4/23/2026 12:58am No, the Scott engineers are furious because Specialized added so many new links but didn't seal them inside the frame. They're yelling at their screen right now, "Just make it look like a pregnant whale! It's so easy!"

JankyEric Liked a reply to forum topic Why are yokes sideways?
3/3/2026 7:12am Some serious stoner thoughts here lol. They are sideways because they have to be. With the eyelet in the orientation you are talking about, it would effectively have a hinge in the middle of the shock, and it would "buckle" or rotate between the yoke and shock under compression. Just set your bike on the ground and install the clevis end first. With the suspension compressed you should have easier access to the shock bolt. At least that's the case on my Ibis bikes.
