That proto frame goes way back. I shot this photo of it in the early fall of 2023. Sorry for poor quality. The obvious heel rub and linkage swap-out (on your more current photo) shows it's seen a lot of hours. The guy riding it started working for a different bike company, so he may have offloaded this one to another industry friend. At the time, I was thinking it was maybe a Diamondback prototype that got canceled/never saw the light of day. He was fairly open with it; it was spotted at local Seattle area watering hole(s), etc.

Won WC's. + Ditched AG7. - Created "Demo Centers", not dealers. - Took more advance orders. - Took corporate capital. - Took more advance orders. - Signed Vali, Oisin, Kolb. Won WC,s. + Ditched Vali, Oisin, Kolb. - Still had money to "buy back" brand. ????

Publicly killing your own brand in front of the whole world wide audience at WC says you are BS. If that was a different story for the riders and public I would say there was hope.

Is replacing 8 more bearings when you already have your linkage blown apart really that big of a deal? I don’t ride a crazy amount, but I do ride a good amount, and I do not replace my bearings more than every other year. Most of the time they are still fine. Unless you’re in the top 0.1% of riders I don’t see any reason why you should be replacing bearings more than once a year. So maybe 8 more bearings to change might take another 2 hours if you’re severely bad at using tools. I spend more than 2...

Man, I can’t see Dak going to Intense for a couple of reasons. 1) they’re broke (or seem to be) 2) when he last rode the bike, it could barely last a full run. Loic commented on this on a French pod, but those Intenses were trash.

Just my observation but I live in western Canada and can’t think of the last time I saw an Intense in the wild. This includes plenty of time in Whistler, Squamish, etc. I assume they sell more in the US but can’t comment. Makes me wonder if the race team is worth their investment.

In my opinion it's just a regular Lapierre GLP3 without the plastic cover (probably for better cooling/heat dissipation) ? Vincent Ledieu is working for Michelin, I don't think he is involved in Lapierre bikes development.

FWIW, modern F1 cars have quite a bit of anti-dive geometry in the front and anti-squat geometry in the rear, preventing the car from pitching back and forth during braking and accelerating to keep the aero platform (the underbody) as stable as possible and thus the downforce as consistent as possible. The result of this is a lot less feedback to the driver (either way you cut it, any kind of movement or lean is a feedback on what the vehicle is doing) and some teams had and have a lot of problems with their drivers not being confident int...

Check out the Preston Petty No-Dive, from decades ago folks: There were quite a few variations of Torque Arm Anti Dive set ups tried in Motorcycling - predominantly Road Racing, plus, a some hydraulic set ups - a few of which reached production Motorcycle models. I've a couple of Preston's No-Dives, somewhere in my workshop, along with a few of his Fenders / Mudguards and his Headlights. All of the Anti Dive systems basically 'disappeared'.
