200mm rotors f/r Mavens on mine, Good modulation after a couple of rides. Heavy pull makes zero difference if you use brakes properly and dont drag them....

Loam Wolf? I'd disagree, even this "review" aside. They released a video maybe a year or two ago about how you should peel the wiper seal back on your fork and insert chain oil into it. You read that right, chain oil, into a suspension fork. They got called out in the IG comments for how dumb it was, several suspension shops commented saying the same thing, and LW repeatedly defended it, claiming DVO told them it was a good idea. Even the RockShox IG account was throwing shade at it in the comments and Loam Wolf continually argued it...

I see what you're saying, But the spire is definitely not niche in my opinion, its just a big crab link. Dreddy or claymore come from smaller brands so according to my peanut brain they can do more interesting stuff with less risk. Slash is cool but still kind of basically a crab link HP?? A lot of the flaws in this video seem to be down to bleed and setup issues? Especially the part about the lever pulling to the bar and then pumping up - clearly a bad bleed. I also don't understand how they could have had a piston pop out during the piston massage? There shouldn't be enough space for that to happen if they were doing it properly. I own a set of Maven Ultimates and they are still completely flawless after 2 trips to Morzine and a bunch of more riding at home. The lever bite will migrate out...

No this test was supported by Feedback Sports and Ride Wrap. BrakeAce also generously loaned us two sets of sensors. Each brand did provide brakes FOC. They were given the same testing parameters and product asks. No brakes were bled by the brand. They arrived in a box the same as any rider recieves them. No one got a special treatment. Our goals/angles we focused on for this test: testing brakes in Whistler because the trails are proper and relatable/familiar to many riders. 2.) Oh, this is my specialty. I make data sheets and written guides about buying a bike. Your best bet is finding a Giant Fathom, Trek Roscoe, or Specialized Fuse secondhand. I've even seen that base Fuse with the coil for under 1k on their website. If you're REALLY struggling to find anything you can always fall back on the Poseidon Norton as a bottom of the barrel stock build that you can basically upgrade frame up long term. I had to pull fluid back and forth several more times than the sram video recommends to get all the factory air out. Like 12+ times, but it was worth it.
