If you take a look at the Chinese bike brands making an impact, their road bikes are entirely house-brand (or house-made) components with one exception, drivetrain (which also means brakes of course). For those with mountain bikes, it is suspension and drivetrain/brakes. Consider how Avinox has integrated motor, battery, controller, and software to great acclaim then ask yourself why this archaic devise is dangling from the frame, in harm's way while simultaneously impairing aesthetics and systems integration. Fully agree on drivetrain wear and unnecessary gearing.

Mountain bikes should be designed to ride offroad not whether or not they fit on a bike rack. Now you can have geo for going fast and/or for being jibby, etc. BmB has gone down the dirt bike geo road even if he didn't initialy base it on that. He has been testing the limits and seeing what works and what does. He has done what most brands have never had the courage to do. You can only respect him for that. Bronson and the BMB are awesome. His willingness to come in from a completely different direction and follow through with a project like that in todays world is way cool. I am excited to see how Reece does with the implementation of these ideas at the highest level of DH racing. The Mule is a wild looking bike! Samox Samox had new hollow forged cranks (HRO - hollow reinforced optimization) on display for trail and DH applications. The TM1 Gold crank lengths are 155, 160 and 165mm while DH Golds come in 155 and 160. The DUB interface cranks will only set you back $225. The 7075 CNC'd chain rings are available in a variety of sizes and will run about $60. At the front of the booth was Jason Richardson's XX steel belt drive prototype, too.

The Eden can be set up in six different travel modes, two wheel sizes and high/low settings.

It's very noticeable in Handling especially the higher up the weight is placed. Levo gets noticeable more sluggish if you swap the 500 for the 700 battery. The weights seem also to be stagnating thanks to the batteries getting bigger. As a lighter rider I don't need the additional power. I would love to have a lighter E-Bike tho with a fast swappable battery in two sizes.

I bought one of these in 2018 for $6000 AUD ($4275) the spec was ridiculous, fox factory front and back, shimano di2, saint brakes etc with double down tyres it still only weighed 22kg. Sure it was ugly as sin, but chucking a 29 inch front wheel on that bike it was amazing. so 8 years later, we are catching up at triple the cost. ~22kg. The only difference is peak power and 300wH more battery? yes, it was ugly as sin. But the ability to swap a battery in 10 seconds was nice.

That makes a lot of sense, I appreciate that. I have been doing this so long I forget sometimes, honestly.
