Oh I bet that's the "unreleased flex-stay 120mm/120mm XC bike" mentioned in the NSMB article I brought up earlier (I assume it's a new Epic Evo).

There has been logging at these trails. It’s owned by a timber company and they log sections every 4-6 years it seems. I’m sure the logging disrupted habitat and was part of the cause of the attack. For those of you unfamiliar with the area this is basically where the wild meets humanity. To the West is the Seattle Metro area, to the East rolling hills that turn into the Cascades that have pretty limited access for the public. As population grows and more people go outside there will be more encounters with wild animals.

2.5 k for a fork is nuts i own a 11.6 that I bought used, serviced for 650€ that was the best shock for the money at the 1200€ full retail that was, I wouldn’t have at the current 1900€ no way. brilliant shock but it’s never gonna be that good rs coil with a custom tune will be around what I paid for mine and work basically as good fork I can immagine it won’t be x2 as good as a tuned fox 38 being way cheeper

while i agree with the sentiment, this one is a bit of a headscratcher (the whoop sponsorship that is). i'm not sure what their angle is trying to get into cycling as their hardware lacks core / critical functionality needed for cycling. plus, there are plenty of established players in the wearables / computers space for cycling.

Before I jump in and hate on the WHOOP thing, I need to go back and see if I was a fan of anything else with spectacularly stupid title sponsors in the past.....I love computers and data but after never hearing of the company until a couple of hours ago it does appear that they encompass all of the worst aspects of modern tech, so yeah......not optimistic

Not sure where they go from here, but that's the end of Wiggle, CRC, Nukeproof, Vitus, etc. as we know it.

Just a heads up about tire sizing, because you seem to be dead set on getting a 2.4" tire. Not all 2.4" tires are the same size, and the best way to get a sense of the actual size of a tire is the ETRTO listing on the sidewall of the tire. For instance, the old 26" Maxxis Minion DHF 2.5" had an ETRTO listing of 58mm, but the new 29" Maxxis Minion DHF 2.5" has a ETRTO listing of 63mm. They're both ostensibly a 2.5" tire, but in reality one is 10% wider. Why? The 2.5" moniker is there...
