just starting to prep data/lists for vital fantasy world cup. after going through the lists, here are some random preliminary numbers 233 downhill riders registered on teams across all classes 48 women 185 men 25 aussies 19 canadians 37 french 44 brits 21 kiwis 30 #USDH rippers commencal has 5 diff teams with a total of 27 riders! - muc-off 6, les orres 6, ICstudio 7, schwalbe 3, Dorval Commencal 5

I can see the appeal to them of consolidating the line (combining the current stumpy and epic evo) but round my way the Epic Evo seems to be the weapon of choice for the amateur XC racer, and looks like the Spesh pros too, not many Epic World Cups being raced in anger. Not sure they'd stomach the weight of a "stumpy ST" as a race bike. In fact, didn't spesh try that a few years ago with the Camber?

Yes, there is a new Stumpy (which we can see right now as it's the same as the new Levo SL, sans motor), the new Enduro and if there is a third bike, it's the new 120-ish bike--probably replacing the Epic EVO and Stumpy classic that's in the line right now (130mm bike). The Stumpy has been done and in boxes for a lot time but they've been trying to clear stock of the old ones for well over a year now before releasing. As I've said many times, the Endruo will likely have the lower link design the prototype...

It’s kind of a false choice these days. There are just so many really good bikes, there’s likely to be one that works great and still looks good. i know I’m in the minority, but I think my Knollys are rad looking and are amazing riding bikes. But have I been thinking of upgrading to the new Chilcotin mostly because it looks even better? Maybe…

Yeah- you would think they would either use the same front triangle or rear end to keep costs down. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. I very much doubt it will be anything more than that.
