1/26/2023 2:08pm By "seat tube" I meant the tube above the BB, onto which the main pivot and the upper pivot are attached. The force I'm talking about isn't transmitted into that piece by sitting on the saddle, but by the suspension compressing and the rear end flexing laterally.

There's a certain topic on this forum covering this. The new Boxxer being 38 mm and 15x110 would make some sense as it would mean reusing ZEB lowers as they come with no modifications. EDIT: of course I did not read through to the next page where exactly this comment is already covered... Right above mine of course.

My guess is if it isn't coming, it was definitely planned (outside of your mentioned leak). When fully extended a Charger 2.1 shaft hangs down at least 20mm longer than a 190mm air spring. If it was shelved, it's probably because even 190mm Zebs already eat their stanchions due to too much leverage, not enough bushing. Remains to be seen for the new ones though. I cooked an original set of stanchions in a season at 190. I'll see this summer if it happens to my new Ultimates with their longer bushings.

That is also in line with that leaked SRAM pdf that mentioned a 200mm air shaft kit for the ZEB which someone posted in the PB...

1/25/2023 6:15am Yes, PB Racing was on Mondraker frames during their pre-season training camp last year. But that was because Santa Cruz (their frame sponsor) couldn't get them their frames in time. So the MS Mondraker team let them borrow some back-up frames. Ben Cathro and Henry Quinney explained it on the PB podcast.

1/23/2023 3:44am The Enduro really wasn't the first bike to get the "long-travel 29er" formula right. That title goes to either the 2018 Scott Ransom or the 2018 YT Capra. Both were the first ones among their competition to pair 160mm+ travel with decent kinematics and geometry that doesn't look completely out of place even today.

The Enduro rides fantastic but there are far too many cracked frames to even consider it as the GOAT. And these are cracked frames from mild-mannered consumers too, mind you. I personally know of 3 people who aren't even in the top 20 of their categories who have cracked frames.

This is obviously pure speculation, but I bet it comes down to money. RM isn't a big brand, they don't sell that many bikes in the grand scheme...

I can confirm that an australian enduro rider that used to race DH, a canadian enduro rider that recently left an american brand factory team, a german enduro rider that left a german brand after 9 years are ALL part of a new Factory team of a big German direct-to-consumer brand. They've been shooting and shuttling in Finale last week.
