I'm with you on this one - the whole build up with all the MoiMoi TV videos and Craigslist BS is driving me nuts!!! Jsut show the SRAM Fanboys the goods already. I personally (do care how integrated) will never go wireless..probably will be the future but for now, workhorse Shimano XT everything.

3/8/2023 12:45am Anybody else here who just couldn't care any less what nonsense SRAM is up to or am I the only one? I'm just not at all excited about electronics this, wireless that - but that is what SRAM seems to have focused on these days. None of that stuff is gonna get anywhere near my bike.

It's very much outlandish, hahaha. But it is Australian made and they've put tons of hours into developing it, so I understand the costs involved.

I really liked the Strive platform, the suspension really impressed me and I think the shapeshifter is cool for big days on the bike. BUT, having raced in Tasmania before I felt like the Spectral would be better suited for those rounds with it being more nimble, for me. With the long break after the first block I think I'll have plenty of time to get used to the Strive for the Euro rounds.

Or better yet, maybe they can actually supply the frames ordered…. Instead of releasing a new frame every month and not being able to deliver frames/bikes(at least here in Europe)

You might not bee too familiar with the GT product line but the GT Force 29 still exists and isn't HP, only the GT Force 29 Carbone is a HP bike. That naming convention definitely makes it confusing for a lot of people and giving a different name to the Force 29 C would have probably been a good idea. Nonetheless the Force, Force 29 and Sensor were pretty much the same frames and this one seems to share many attributes with these frames.

I like some aspects of his work like exposing durability problems and trying to optimize bikes for a preferred riding style but his custom bikes are downright stupid. Look like they would suck ass to ride and just suck all the fun out of riding. A good portion of his opinions are dogshit though and I think he’s shooting himself in the foot by being so self righteous, would probably have a bit more success if he went back to his channels original goal (honest long term reviews) instead of trying to create the exact bike he wants to ride...

He's seriously claiming that the frame he designed himself is, unequivocally, the single best mountainbike in existence - at every discipline. Better than literally everything else ever, made by any manufacturer. That should tell you all you need to know about him.
