Fred, are you just running a 2x crank in front and droppin down manually when needed for those long grinds the puttin the chain back up onto the larger ring for the descents? Some guys around here (SW Colorado, lots of long steep high altitude grinds in the high country) used to do that too. No front derailleur. Just the double ring. Takes about 10 seconds to move it between rings. I don't run that setup, but I do run a 28/52 for the same reason as you and also because its a bit easier on my knees for steep...

Also had issues with my 90 setup. Turned out to be not enough cable tension, but the weird part is it only affected one cog in the middle of the cassette. Since fixing that it’s been fantastic. Can’t remember if it was said earlier, but it sure feels like SRAM made the mechanical stuff harder to setup as a way to steer people toward AXS.

That’s pretty stupid thing to post. I bet a lot of people here have a lot of information on hundreds of bikes that are under embargo, but we’re not dickhead so we don’t just go leaking stuff. This is for people to find stuff out in the wild and post it like if a website messes up by posting a bike early or somebody sees something in the wild or spy shots or whatever not just straight up leaking stuff from your bikeshops account

I received mine last week and tossed it in my 36 that's on my hightower 4. I've only done some basic riding around the neighborhood so no real feedback yet. I was previously riding ~87-90 psi in this fork with 1-2 volume reducers. I've tested a lot of these. The Intend wasn't an option when I got my Flash, but... DSD RUNT - I ran this on a Pike and couldn't get it linear enough. It felt like it spiked a lot and didn't have the volume of the Manitou implementation. It was better than stock, but I didn't get along with it. Comparing the various triple chamber systems is useful. I always hear glowing things about it, but the EXT fork I had was such a nightmare that I've been really reluctant to try anything like that again. (Super tight bushings, insanely progressive air spring, massively overdamped.)

I would agree. Vail taking over the resort didn’t help things either. They clearly didn’t give a shit about the event and made it harder and more expensive to do just about anything. I have a lot of respect for the small CWX team but they had zero pull with the Vail team. Not great conditions for a successful event.

Suspension has always been plush vs stiff. It's the rider, their mentality & that's all there is to it. If you're a guy who raced moto or BMX transitioning into DH...rigid is what you lean toward. MTB suspension is "boingy" & "mushy" until your riding style changes over a long time. You can keep the travel stiff when that's your background cause the DH bike just seems easier. Finally got time on my 38 flash from my 35. Yep, there's a good difference in torsional stiffness. Wonderful. Steering is more precise and direct and whilst I didn't specifically test for brake induced torsional load I'm going to assume that's not such a thing anymore. Still really rate the 35, you can't go wrong with either tbh.
