DT-Swiss is making phenomenal hubs but they are not a design that is the best for USD-Forks. I ride a EXT Vaia on my Park bike and a NON+ Hub with 15mm axle on FR 541 Rims. Works much better than a 350 with a 20mm axle on the exact same rim. This is because of the axle design inside of a hub. DT-Swiss has a „shorter“ bearing axle and the Endcaps make up for the actual with. Phenomenal design for modularity but not the first choice for a fork that is missing one crown and you need to choose...

I think you have it backwards regarding their argument. I think they are saying that left foot forward means your right is back, which would likely put it in the way of most danger-eating objects first. You are more aware of what might strike your foot/pedal and try to veer away. If you are right foot forward, nothing else stands in the way through the whole wheelbase, then smacks the der der.
