If you keep all other variables constant (eg. CS length, HT angle, stem length) then increasing reach should have the effect of putting more of the riders weight on the front wheel. The effect is pretty dramatic because the human head weighs around 5kg and this weight is high up/furthest forwards. This is why small changes can have such a big effect. The Mondraker Forward Geometry with the zero reach stem is an extreme example of this thought, but I have yet to see anybody running the zero reach stems in real life. 100% agree. Aggressive riders trying to go fast (and not just racers) or anyone who wants a bike that actually handles need longer chainstays on their bikes. There will always be the odd ball that rides a little differently and somehow able to make short chainstays work. A lot of riders that still thinks short chainstays win don't know how to manual or just haven't tried a proper bike with proper balanced geometry. was all sounding really good till you said 435mm CS..... Get the CS 90% the length of the reach (or more!) and we are talking. 63 deg H/A, 500mm reach and a short CS is going to be understeer city when tired IMO. You would have to be very pro-active weighting the front wheel. I also realize I am criticizing a bike I've never ridden lol. But I've owned bikes with similar geo, the Longer CS is better IMO.

I agree, while this might be a performance top end feature that might cause the big two to up their game at the sharp end, this isn’t technology that should trickle down imo. Most people don’t even know how to set up a single chamber shock, let alone optimize a triple chamber one 😂

Yeah the Conti names are dumb. I'm also wondering if they're going to make trail / ultra soft available. There's no sharp rocks here, so I run EXO+ with light inserts for sidewall support. I've tried that back to back compared to heavier casing, and the inserts + light casing feels better. And MaxxGrip makes a huge difference on hardpack / loose over hard.
