Don’t let the chainstay plane fool ya, on this one its actually zero drop but it does have 185mm travel so at sag it’s more reasonable. The second front triangle I have has some more ‘popular’ figures with a little more bb drop and a tad less travel. I do favour a higher BB myself though, it’s actually one of the features of my hardtail frames.

WOW! Loic is the latest rider to master the art of putting together runs at Worlds! Looks like he and Loris sitting out of MSA paid off. Also so stoked to see Vali carry the momentum she's been building this season and take the rainbow stripes. But, it's hard to look past Cami's 4th place just a few weeks post-surgery - mental. And Jenna Hastings - first win, and it's at Worlds! What a race, and what a year it has been of amazing racing. Damn, downhill racing is the best!

DH is the best. Comments about winning bike: What’s wild is Loic demo mullet setup is in short chainstay setting ( if he kept it same as previous pics of his bike). Turns out top shelf bike handlers can do a lot with an agile ride. I think modern bike designers and reviewers are forgetting this at times.

Thx Thom, I also ride an HT and currently use a Maxxis Aspen 2.4. It's pretty harsh and the grip is marginal if best. I have a 2.6 DHF/DHR tires on my FS bike, will try your setup. Thx again

Thanks! The only handling advantage is that I can run pretty low pressures and with a Rimpact it feels quite controlled, damped. It’s not suspension but it helps. And I find it less bouncy/ pingy than running a full 29er setup. My favourite rear tyre is the Aggressor but they don’t make a 2.8, hence the Rekon. But I actually really like it too. It’s seen as a light weight, which it is but it has a great balance of grip/ pedal ability just like the Aggressor. Imo.
