10/28/2025 12:26pm Respectfully, it's more accurate to say " Pro tip, your super enduro will absolutely be acceptable for DH trails." No matter how good long travel single crown bikes are these days, there's still no replacement for displacement.

10/28/2025 12:26pm Yeah I think it is a selling point that nobody ever really uses. I don't think more than a handfull of people across the world will be converting their rallon from enduro rig to a DH rig for a park weekend on an even semi-regular basis. Are people really going to get the different links, shock, fork, and maybe wheels/tires just for a couple of park weekends a year? And if you're actually going to a park more often I'd say its easier to just own a decent DH bike. IDK man. I'd say it's a way bigger win for...

10/28/2025 12:13pm Anyone know the release date for new Evil bikes? Also made a comparison photos against the old model. Seat tube insertion looks a lot better on the updated model.

10/28/2025 12:13pm I suspect we'll see more of the one frame Enduro/ DH bike moving forward. Orbea proved the concept can work, and it spreads the development cost over a larger amount of bikes. It's better for the manufacturers. Riders like the concept of being able to swap out the fork and shock for the once or twice a year park day, even if most riders never do it. It's the same as flip chips, most riders find the setting they like and stay there. I'd bet a good bit of riders never change the flip chip from the out of the...

10/28/2025 12:12pm I've been wondering what the next big thing is going to be for the industry to try and hype us up on... Will dual purpose Enduro/ DH bikes be it? Go from Enduro pedal friendly bike to DH plow machine by simply switching out most of the major components on your bike..

10/28/2025 12:10pm Not exactly an innovation per se; but Raaw has started offering the option to rent a toolbox full of all their adjustments included. You get it for two weeks so you can decide if any of those adjustments make sense before you buy. And, get a discount when you do decide to buy something afterwards. Pretty cool idea. https://raawmtb.com/en-us/collections/parts/products/raaw-factory-suppo…

10/28/2025 12:08pm Actual Knolly prototype, or just Knolly stickers on a Santa Cruz/Crestline/similar? Would be quite surprised to see Knolly make such a drastic move away from their existing suspension platform, design language, materials, etc.

10/28/2025 12:06pm Damping needs to be adjusted to compensate for the change in leverage ratio regardless of what shock is being run.

10/28/2025 12:05pm Can almost guarantee the bike Nina is on is not a "V10 prototype" - it's likely the next version of the Nomad, which may do what many have been asking for, accommodate a dual crown fork. Seems crazy to me that the current version Nomad cannot handle a dual crown. Speaking from personal experience, having a dedicated downhill bike is hard to justify for 99% of riders. But what makes a ton of sense is an Enduro bike that can also run a dual crown fork and properly cover park duties. Much more utility. I don't think this has anything...

10/28/2025 12:03pm LOL, The current V10 is only two years old, and was engineered with many options examined. If they’d wanted the current V10 to look like a Nomad, it would. That looks way more like a Park/Freeride model than a DH rig.

10/28/2025 12:02pm I'll put money that is a test mule for geo and kinematics testing. Has zip tie cable routing, different shock mount options… Santa Cruz only does alloy as an afterthought. But making a Nomad/Megatower dual crown capable makes a lot of sense. Hopefully they'll make those two models more interchangeable with a linkage swap like Trek did with the new Fuel.

10/28/2025 12:01pm Hold on, I had it on good authority from this very forum that Santa Cruz would abandon VPP and move to Virtual Crab Point!!
