It's possible to use them wrong. If you follow the procedure that makes the most of them they're great, quite an improvement over the standard process. If you don't, and take the same kind of approach you would with a brake that doesn't have them then they kinda just get in the way. - Back out crosshair screws - Push on caliper to move it inboard so outer pad is fully in contact with rotor - Tighten down caliper bolts until you just can't move the caliper by hand (not until play is gone, i mean until you are unable...

Do you wake up every day wondering "who can I be a d1ck to on the Vital Forums today"? Assuming good intent and extending a modicum of kindness takes almost no effort; give it a try!

If you had Code RSC I'd recommend using the levers with Dominion A4 calipers but with Code R unfortunately you will have to replace the whole brake system to get worthwhile improvements for your money. Code RSC levers will improve performance but for the cost and work involved wouldn't recommend that with so many great options out there. I've heard...

Apologies for the double post. I recall a story once told by an American craft brewer (who I don't recall...): "If a bottle of your beer costs you 25c to make, why am I paying $5 for it?" "Because making the first bottle cost me $1 million".

We really, really need to bring the hammer down on this IP theft. Not only are they stealing ideas and patents from people who have spent good r&d money on developing their ideas, they haven't done the r&d, so there's far less understanding of the decisions that led to the original design. It's wholly unsafe and not to be mistaken for simply reverse engineering existing components. I don't understand why they can't just make new stuff???

It's blatantly obvious that Lewis just straight up copies prestigious products with the objective of selling them to people who love the looks/bling factor of the absolute high-end stuff but don't want to pay for it. The structural integrity of the design has nothing to do with it.

Anything to prevent creaking is a big hell yeah from me. I've beat this poor horse to death, but single crown forks shouldn't be a disposable item for the bigger and/or smashier set. It seems like a thread-on crown race that in turn squeezes a flanged steer tube around the upper crown could fully prevent creaking when combined with this one-piece upper. Shoots, you might even be able to use a 1 1/8 without creaking with this design, allowing a massive amount of headset adjustment options. I wrote it here, can't be patented, let's make a standard, lol. Keeping the...

Have you laid it down on something completely flat? Maybe an arm is twisted but hard to see unless it's laid on something flat to produce a gap or shadow. Had an issue with a bent hockey skate runner, was sharpened several times and used for multiple seasons but was never noticed by the sharpeners. Pulled it from the holder...

Welcome to the wild and wonderful world of the bike industry, where you get worked to death and paid next to nothing, but there are literal piles of new and lightly used parts, even parts falling out the cracks of the building. What parts are you running? Whatever's in the pile. At least until you get laid off next week.
