I hope not, I'd like to see him win again. Orbea has heen the EWS team where lead riders go and ruin their carreer. Lapeyrie, now Otton, good luck ! Also considering Maes like to go DH every now and then, riding with Orbea would mean that wouldn't be possible

Regarding the worth of EWS and/or DH teams... I'm a trail rider through and through, I do some enduro style races sometimes, but nevertheless, even though it's my area of interest, this year I have followed zero EWS stuff and have been kind of up to speed with DH. If anything, I'd say the DH team is worth more (has a better reach) than the EWS team.

I really don't see Maes leaving GT and I don't see why he would pick Orbea. If Maes is moving, and that's a big if, it's more likely for him to join Atherton Racing than a team with a manager he barely knows and riders he doesn't usually hang out with.

i think camille was on a 2 year contract with dorval. it's possible to see her at Pivot next year, or to see Emilie at Dorval, as a team manager .. well the 2 will work together !

I agree. WC tracks should be the most difficult tracks. It is not bad luck if a rider is knocked off line and suffers a mechanical, it is a mistake, and we know this because it is not lucky when a rider successfully rides a gnarly section of track, it is skill. Of course, in the heat of a WC run even the most skillful sometimes make mistakes, and that's what is meant by "that's racing."

I think there should be more gnarly tracks like Snowshoe. Every track should test the rider and their equipment just like we saw this week.

I get that but cannot possibly agree. If DH is the "F1" of bike racing, and you know that a relatively flat (by typical track standards) but varied terrain track is crushing rims, chains, tires, etc..., it should push the manufacturers to step up and improve their products. Snowshoe eats up bikes and people. Thankfully, it was dry. In the wet, that place is something completely different. This wasnt a fast, 'bike park' track. Is it any coincidence that the parts that were eating riders and forcing mechanicals were the natural parts? I should add that I absolutely do not...

thats exactly where my Shimano derailleur's break, it stresses me out knowing if it touches anything it will more than likely break.
