12/13/2019 11:32am E13 components are hot garbage now. Mostly made of cheese. And, considering that an injury caused by component failure could potentially ruin a season, career or livelihood I'd like to believe that a professional racer is going to choose what he/she trusts isnt going to let them down. E13 claiming it was a freak accident in my opinion is total BS. I feel like John Hall did them a huge service in laying on that PR grenade and taking the blame for a shoddy product. Makes me wonder how much they paid Hall off to say that cuz it kinda...

9/3/2019 12:30pm I have the Red Bull App on my TV and opened it like normal to watch the replay in the US. Strangely you couldnt pause, rewind, or FF the broadcast though. I made the mistake of stopping it after the women's and had to restart the whole broadcast to get to the men's.

9/3/2019 12:27pm He probably is the split marker. It's not uncommon for the split times to be recorded manually be someone pushing a button. To be fair though, given where he's standing and the pace riders are going I highly doubt he'd even register in Loic's line of sight. Even if it did it's unlikely to have caught his attention more than any of the other hundred people waving stuff around trackside.

9/3/2019 9:30am Definitely makes a big difference! I have my renthal bars at 0.5 on the tick marks. I also have friends who run theirs at 2. I think a lot of it depends on your riding style, too. I feel that I ride over the front a lot naturally, so if I roll mine to 2 I also struggle with shoulder/hand...

8/29/2019 2:55pm yep. thanks! seems like good to go now. can't believe NBC buys the rights to world champs and doesn't show DH outside of a two-hour recap on cable tv only. i would definitely pay to watch live. i'm sure others would. crappy it happens like this.

8/27/2019 3:34pm As far as the denim destroyer, Although he loves the jeans because of their protection and such like he said, I'm sure if you gave him free dh gear and a pay check he'd be fine keeping them in the pits.

6/24/2019 4:00pm Couldn’t agree more with this, people think that a 95kg male squatting 150kg and deadlifting 200kg is a sign of systemic steroid use as a child. Those are power to weight ratios similar to that of the pro woman’s field. Zero sign of any “real” drugs being used so zero need for any “big” consequences

6/24/2019 3:58pm So you mean his whole adult life? Pretty much starting around the age of 12 and having the nickname manchild before he was old enough to drive? That long, huh? Or are you just making up a judgment and accusing him of taking steroids and growth hormones to fit your "opinion"

6/10/2019 8:46am Bare in mind these were not “for the camera” just functional proper scrubs. I’m going to have to go with Mitch for the pure violence and Finn for the finesse and precision

6/8/2019 12:23am Unless there is something in the upper unit to control and dissipate energy being stored/returned by the spring, it’s still not a damper(or a second shock). Purely a spring, haven’t really gotten an answer stating otherwise. The video CFR posted a few weeks ago, Tom refers to it as a split system, same as here. Now, if there’s a trick hydraulic or pneumatic bottom out in there, it could be argued as a position sensitive damper. This bike broke the other website....it’s really not that complicated. You have a spring on one side of a conventional fork, and a damper...

5/21/2019 2:39pm Gwin mixing it up in the comments on Instagram. I really take issue with his criticism of Vital for reporting this. It might be enthusiast press and not traditional journalism, but if he thinks he can dictate what gets reported on he's on another planet. I wonder how many at Vital and other outlets knew it was their job to only post positive stories on Gwin? Probably want to get all photos vetted through his team before publishing as well. Heck, have his PR people write the copy from now on. popcorn.gif for watching this blow up

4/23/2019 3:48pm In watching the video they are saying in can be run in a single shock mode. In one of the spots of the video you can see a single shock in the lower mount.

4/23/2019 3:01pm Wonder why when Jordi is measuring the lower shock in the video it has a coil on it? Can you put the coil down there and the damper up top and vice versa...? It looks like at 4:23 they're running it with no top shock at all, maybe that's why.

3/29/2019 8:37am just put up florian's bike from tasmania https://www.vitalmtb.com/photos/features/Whats-Stock-Whats-Not-Tasmania… he's full DH casing because he likes the feel. it's been mentioned numerous times by plenty of riders, but the damping and feel of heavier tires or setups w/ inserts seems to be embraced for performance. just like you're saying lee, weight is not an issue for serious competitors in these gravity disciplines. grip and momentum is what counts. i've been on some lighter-casing tires lately and i really dislike rocky sections as they feel like balloons or beach balls getting bounced around. they're fun going up, but not worth the trade-off...
