When production bikes are so dialed, the prototype/non-stock angle gets thrown out the window. Florian Nicolai, a consistent Enduro World Series podium contender wrapped up the first race in New Zealand with a 3rd place finish. The flying Frenchman (@flyingflo21 on Instagram) rode this Canyon Strive 29 to that podium and has plans to go even faster in Tasmania this week. He's on a stock, full-carbon Strive, size Large that uses ShapeShifter 2.0 travel adjustment. Flo experimented with an XL but found the Large to be more to his liking with a playful riding style. He's running full DH casing Maxxis tires, his suspension setup is heavy on spacers and tokens but void of low-speed compression. DT Swiss EX1501 wheels spin under a SRAM X01 drivetrain and stop with SRAM CODE brakes. The G5 cockpit (Canyon's house brand) has a 40mm stem and 780mm-wide bars. Ergon grips and saddle are contact points. Flo is picky about his braking points and runs nearly flat levers like Canyon riders, Fabien Barel and Justin Leov. Lars Hartwig, mechanic and manager digs into the details in the audio with @maddogboris, dodging traffic.
