Here's a couple of more closer looks at the Maxxis. Jesse and Bernard were both running it at Zermatt (as I'm sure many others were as well). My bet is it's not a shorty replacement. I posted a few pages back that Jordi Cortes commented on his you tube video that it's not a shorty. Possibly a full mud spike...

Morgane and Sabrina are sisters. The bike they ride is an Astro Catalogue bike labeled as a Peugeot. It's the exact same bike that KHS sells as the 6600 and from what I can find its sold all around the world as different labeled versions of the same bike. In fact, in the "pit bits" page here in vital you can see the exact same bike as the "Fulgur Roccia" "strait from Italy"

Nice job with the color choices along with polished silver bits. Needs to be BOTD.

I would bet the house and the farm that they're more Gwin prototypes, or tweaks to current Gwin protos. That lower junction forging on Isabeau's and Gwin's bike do look almost identical. However, the AG written right on the work bench give it away for me.

Doesn’t look like it’s got the single paddle knob down the center like the shorty. Also the cornering knobs are two-outboard-one-inboard in the picture where the shorty is two-inboard-one-outboard, ha if that makes any sense. Not that I have an guess to what it might be. Looks like it could be the secret tire from Jordi’s YouTube video last month...

you're on to something. we kept it on the DL as much as possible, but definitely rode by plenty of people who didn't notice anything.

It's actually a pretty clever strategy considering they have probably been testing this thing for months without the need for disguise, and theres not a single spy photo or leak or anything like that.

Is this a full decal kit or are they pinstripes around the original graphics? Either way it looks great. Mind I ask where the decals came from? (If it's a decal kit).

In Rachel's most recent video you can see that Gee's bike is running what look to be Minion DHR II tires. There's also another Atherton bike pictured that has a Bontrager G5 or SE5 mounted. The final photo is from Gee's Ft. Bill course preview from last year, it definitely looks like a Bontrager G5. A few thoughts... 1. The...
I think a lot of racers are going to be battling this. I know that the Colombian grand tour riders are struggling because their borders are closed and they can't get to europe for the tours. Its gotta be tough when your job is "cyclist" to not be able to work. But, ultimately we gotta realize there are bigger things at play here. (FWIW I'm not an essential worker and as such lost all three of my jobs on March 15th, and still not back to work yet so I definitely feel the crunch).

It's also worth mentioning the 30s are going to be a little tougher than the 27s. 30s are marketed as an Enduro wheel while the 27s are marketed as an "in between" of the XC 25s and the Enduro 30s. Depending on your riding style and where you ride that might help with the decision.

I haven't figured out why Vee make a maxxis knock off and then installs the cornering knobs backwards? I always understood part of the reason maxxis tires braked so well was the L shape of the corner knob. But what do I know.
