This is a great idea! I figure I'd give it a go. 1.) TransBC 6 Day enduro. What an amazing event and personal accomplishment for me. This is a race I've wanted to do ever since I watched it roll through Revelstoke in 2017, and getting the chance to be a part of it was a truly special experience. I could go on and on about just how cool it is to get to spend 6 days with no other responsibilities besides trying to ride your bike blind as fast as you can across some of the rowdiest trails. I...

In no particular order. Loved: Trails builders and the people that maintain the trails in the areas where we ride bikes. These legends will never get enough credit. Loved: Bikes are sooooo damn good at the moment. Whether Im riding my smuggler trail bike or riding my heavy alloy patrol enduro/park bike, the smiles these things give you and the confidence to try new things and ride harder knowing its always going to be ok. Loved: Supporting the Local Bike shops. Things arent great for these stores but still going out of their way to help out however they can...

Enduro junior women world champion Nežka Lipnik said she didn't receive any offers for next season even though she won every international race she entered by quite some margin... Apparently she is also waiting for a downhill bike. Sourced from here Nežka Libnik tudi v 2026 v domačem klubu, a na novem kolesu - mtb.si - mountain bike Slovenija

Who would down-vote this genius piece of sleuthing mastery???

Greenland to Frameworks?

make one that can connect directly to an ebike battery like the one from orbea

Somebody has hit the egg nog early

Not correlated! I know that Alan, who's in charge of Enduro, is very committed. He is doing a lot of work behind the scenes to make changes that will help Enduro, I am excited for what he has in store. Excited enough to come out of retirement for a race or two in the future. Masters class is only a few years away for me.

GPUs now cost five morbillion dollars because of people who rub their belly while laughing to shit like this

That is the CEO of Crossworx personal bike, so chances are he has some buddies at Schwalbe and may get the tires for testing. And also, schwalbe sponsored rider Raphaela Richter's partner is the guy who welds those frames, and I believe she works there at crossworx every now and then - So might be a connection there too. So I still dont think they are very available for us "regular" people

What is it with German online retailers and accidently publishing stuff early?

Here’s the thing. People get hired into positions of power. They start thinking “I gotta do something!!!” The problem begins when “do something” turns into “change the thing”. The “something” they could do is at all costs protect the core identities that surround the current position. With all the current fuck-ups in business branding you’d think some lessons had been learned. Nope, they can’t help themselves. I actually appreciate that the logo on my 2025 Fox Factory DHX2 is exactly the same logo that was on the shock on my 1994 Cannondale Super-V 1000, and on my Fox Factory Twin-Clicker...

We found the marketing guy.

Ok fine... We'll stick with tradition... Jesse to Frameworks..

Thanks for all the love Vital! My goal is to continue a career that allows me to contribute to another 1000 pages of the tech rumour thread.

Awesome for Nukeproof to get started with a team that can help them hit the ground running, who were all climbing the ranks through last season. I do really think it would be amazing for Hill to show up at hardline on a Nukeproof DH bike.

Elite enduro rider Simona Kuchyñková got a RB helmet, maybe enduro is not totally dead.

Thanks so much for the kind words. I know I have a lot to learn to be an effective podcaster, but if I keep getting at bats I promise I'll do everything I can to make the best show I possible can for you guys. I really enjoy it, and love learning from people like Sam. Cheers!

@jeff.brines the Sam Nichols podcast was absolutely awesome. Really great insight to not only the situation YT was in, but also how bike oems handle their business, as well as an anecdotal case study of how PE/VC actually happens. It's nice being able to digest that paradigm with a case study that is relevant to my interests... makes what is otherwise a pretty dry subject if you're not in the thick of it and makes it palatable. Thanks Jeff, great work!

I was wondering how a fish based drink company was possibly worth 6 billion USD - turns out 800M ISK is 6 million USD.
