3/8/2024 11:16pm They didn’t mention it, no. Just been out to have a look at my 161 compared to the gen 2. The gen 1 has pretty limited clearance between the top of the shock and the top tube. A longer eye-to-eye shock would be unlikely to fit. Looking at the photos of the gen 2 it does look like there’s significantly more clearance so it might be possible. For what it’s worth I’ve never felt the need for any more travel on the rear of my gen 1. I’ll caveat that I’m an exceptionally unimpressive rider, although it’s mostly ridden at...

3/6/2024 12:22pm "my tone and demeaner for simple idiots like you to understand" This is my favorite part. Thanks for the morning chuckle. It would seem no one here has any information to aid you on your quest for knowledge. Best wishes on your search moving forward. Adieu.

2/25/2024 10:48pm it's normal in Aus/NZ cycling to just include your feeder/development club rather than sponsors. Just a federation thing.

2/22/2024 2:21am Nigel Page just put a goodbye and thanks post on Instagram. I find this super sad, as he is one class act as a human being. I read this as in ”hopes were still on until the last moment”. I can't wish him and the team anything else but the best. I want to add one more thing here: I met Pagey 22 years ago at the Worlds. He was injured and watched the races from the side and somehow I ended up talking to him. Being the kid in love with racing that I was and still am, I...

2/22/2024 1:27am His group is accused of bad corporate practises, paying below minimum wage, putting companies they own into administration to avoid redundancy payments, buying shares in rival companies in an attempt to destabilize them, changing locks on business companies they've bought into, not paying rent due on premises. The list goes on. Obviously he denies all these accusations (apart from the one about minimum wage, he happily admits that), but he can't deny what a shitshow he turned Newcastle FC into when he was the owner. There's an eye opening article here for anyone interested. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/jun/07/mike-ashley-sport… All in all he's a...

TEAMROBOT Liked a reply to forum topic 2.4 tires for enduro
2/18/2024 9:36am Just a heads up about tire sizing, because you seem to be dead set on getting a 2.4" tire. Not all 2.4" tires are the same size, and the best way to get a sense of the actual size of a tire is the ETRTO listing on the sidewall of the tire. For instance, the old 26" Maxxis Minion DHF 2.5" had an ETRTO listing of 58mm, but the new 29" Maxxis Minion DHF 2.5" has a ETRTO listing of 63mm. They're both ostensibly a 2.5" tire, but in reality one is 10% wider. Why? The 2.5" moniker is there...

2/18/2024 12:24am While I work in a different industry, Construction/Custom Homebuilding, I saw a similar thing happen in my field. People getting decks built, bathroom renovations, buying a new home, etc. earlier than they would have under normal circumstances, pulling sales from the future into the present. The major difference I noticed was that none of my suppliers or contractors ramped up their production or workforce to meet demand. General contractors just had to accept longer lead times for everything. I went from ordering cabinets 5-6 weeks out to 10-12 weeks, garage doors went from 3 weeks to 16 weeks. Even scheduling...
