FYI, Forestal and Production Privee have the same owners and are developed (manufactured?) in the same building. And we know that Production Privee has a DH bike in development.

That’s Forestal ebike. I don’t see this move happening in the near future. Forestal is involved in the development of their DH bike that is ridden by The Brigade SRSuntour team.

This is a more general rant, but why change colors every year at all? And update the spec. Wouldn't it be cheaper to order a 2 or even 3 year batch of frames in the same colorway and the spec components as well? Would people actually care en masse the the shiny new bike isn't the shiny new color compared to last year? If yes, for the love of God, why? What is this like with motorcycles? We know cars have a ~7 year cycle with a mid cycle facelift bringing refreshed styling and some new tech. I've already mentioned...

Hard disagree on only judging riders form based on dry races. You get to race the track you're presented with, if its hard and wet and your form in those conditions is bad then you do bad, that sucks for the rider but it's really just a lack of skill or preparation in those conditions. You can't say someone is on 'good' form generally if they can only ride one type of terrain fast IMO. The best you could say if they start doing well in the dry is that their form is 'inconsistent' and varies depending on the conditions...

Downhill is a wild sport! Reece's run was something magical. Also interesting to see Isak on his DIY bike sneaking in ahead of Gwin, that will be a nice bit of satisfaction for him!

I saw a clip on Cathro's instagram of them taking out a root on the drop in to the step down - I messaged him to ask what the procedure is re course alterations etc vs the natural progression of the course - he came back to me saying that it was down to the technical coordinator and feedback from rider representatives. Surely if enough racers felt it was a problem then they would've taken the same route and requested a change of some description (whether its run in or exit..)

It's a funny looking cage. Kind of looks like it would strike the chain at bottom out (I'm sure it won't). Also doesn't look like the idler is concentric to the pivot.
