3/4/2021 3:13pm Does anyone buy into this ”self bought” suspension thing? It's an honest question. I see why a downhiller would do it, but a slopestyle rider, who rides stuff super stiff anyway? Why bother? To make a statement? Mx

2/18/2021 1:26pm Don’t get the hate. Seems like a sweet bike. Not everything needs a 63 degree hta. Not everyone needs 160 mm of travel. It’s an all mountain bike as opposed to an enduro race bike. Should be a sweet option for a lot of people.

2/12/2021 12:43am That top pic looks to me like the standard Der Kaiser that has been on the market for awhile now, but I may be wrong?

2/9/2021 1:36pm The most surreal 72 hours in any team rumors thread yet. OT, definitely, but surreal nonetheless.
It was once said that "let him who is without sin cast the first stone". The dude that said that definitely never heard of the internet.
Hope Zink gets forgiveness + peace and hope we get back on-topic.

2/8/2021 1:04am Any chance you guys could start a separate Cam rumors thread? Maybe this current thread can be for team rumors.

2/4/2021 3:56pm Lower profile and L shaped cornering knobs, a bit different but same behavior expected I guess! Just watching Rémi Métailler latest video and we will see a new e13 grappler that could looks like an assegai too. He said he can't show the thread pattern but for what I spot it's a kind of assegai-ish tire.

2/4/2021 3:47pm Definitely margins. I assume that’s why so many brands aren’t offering much in aluminum. I think we will also see a lot of bikes previously with gx and slx come with deore at the same price.

2/4/2021 1:56pm That's the thing, it may only be an isolated case on video, but it is obviously in their vocabulary and happens more often than we see. Now, before everyone gets hot and bothered, we've all said stuff that we regret and would look back and say, "WTF was I thinking." However, we're not in the public eye like Cam and others. And if no one calls him out now, it can happen again....and again.... That's it and all I'll say on the topic. But I will definitely look at Cam a bit more differently after what was shared in this...

2/1/2021 2:42pm The drag part of the equation can be solved with the Shimano patent solution - gears and chains. Everything else will be draggy by design. Realistically I only see Shimano ushering in gearboxes, nobody else will have the reach to convince the industry to completely rethink frame design and manufacturing, that will be the biggest hurdle for gearboxes if you ask me, much more than drag and market perception. E-bikes had the option of squeezing in the gearbox (add it to the mid drive unit) very simply, but that train was also missed.

1/29/2021 1:58pm I guess you could also argue that it’s part of their brand to have their factory riders on a certain color. Pretty sure GTFR has been on that blue/yellow color scheme since like 2014 and it’s pretty recognizable

A new addition to the Giant Factory Off-Road Team for 2021, Rémi broke onto the international DH scene in 2013 when he stormed to a surprise World Cup victory in the pro men's field at Vallnord in Andorra.
