Well a person has two options: 1) Try to make the best decisions possible (vote with your dollar) while still living life. This is in regard to sustainability, social causes, etc. OR 2) Take up direct action to spark a groundswell revolution and remove the late-stage capitalist system that will ultimately destroy the planet if not reigned in. Very few...

There is a solid Blister podcast recently with the FlyLow founder where they discuss pfas free dwr. California is requiring all outerwear to be pfas free starting in 2025 so any company wanting to sell there or to a large store (Evo, REI, etc) who has locations there will be pfas free soon.

i have 2 source confirmation that Lake Placid/Wilmington will host a DH/XC double in 2025 on a newly built DH racetrack at Whiteface. i can’t say any more as far as sources etc but it’s absolutely happening.

4. Odds that YouTube users - especially mtb video watchers - click on an attractive lady: 95% 5. Odds that YouTube's algorithm prefers/promotes videos with thumbnails of people's faces more than products thumbnails: 100% Just wanted to also add those in there.

There are probably plenty of ways to decide AG is a good guy. I wouldn't count tasteful youtube thumbnails as a significant deciding factor.

1. Odd AG chose the thumb nail: zero. 2. Odds he chose it because it was a nice picture, a bit higher. 3. Oodds he chose it consciously or not to demonstrate his ccommitment to family, 3%.

This comment is so asinine. What ‘type’ of man is Aaron? What type of man would he be if the thumbnail was riding? Would he not love his wife? Not to mention the thumbnail was probably chosen by an editor and Aaron may not have even given input.

Ebikes are only for older folks and people with physical disabilities that would otherwise limit their riding.

Could you use a through axle for a 150x12 frame and add a couple of washers to make it smaller? I know Hadley still makes them.

Shimano AX76 looks like it might fit the bill?

Long story medium, I am trying to source a hub solution for either 142mm or 148mm spacing and a 12mm axle, however, there is a caveat. It needs to be able to secure itself (i.e., not a traditional thru-axle). In a perfect world, the hub would be bolt on like Hope SS/Trials hub, but it appears they only make this...

I was being hyperbolic. The original argument was that Slopestyle riders shouldn't ask to be paid more because if Slopestyle went away, the O.P.'s life wouldn't be impacted. The original argument was disingenuous, now your ability to detect nuance further reinforces that. There are countless jobs that are unnecessary or redundant, does that mean those people shouldn't get paid. Virtually...
I keep trying to avoid this thread for what it's become but somehow the takes are getting even worse. First of all, in the way you are arguing, yes the tricks specifically don't matter that much. In the show aspect. But it's still a competition with scoring and win bonuses for sponsors. So that's why it's relevant. If they want to turn it into a non-scored exhibition that's totally fine and I think the exact same kind of people would go for the exact same type of riding. People seemed plenty happy to watch the girls ride (at a level...

There had to have been complications there! Skiers blow knees all the time and standard recovery to full play is 9-12 months

Different sport, but also more knee reliant. Johnny Collinson, professional free skier blew everything in his knee (ACL, MCL, PCL, LCL, fractured tibial plateau, and even patellar tendon I believe) and has made a full comeback. It took ~2 years and he is a fitness freak. There have been NFL running backs who have been back on the field in...
CW should just be grateful they get to do something they like. It's not the riders fault CW can't get enough sponsors because they are'nt good enough at their jobs. They could oraganise parties as a side gig for extra cash and if they can't do that they should do something else and give the chance to other up and coming events who will do it for less money. It is just supply and demand. If the market does'nt think CW is worth the money then they deserve to fail. If they don't like the paying the riders they can...
