I don't see any reason to think that the v10 is going to move to UDH. Moving to UDH means giving up adjustable chainstay flip chips, and Syndicate runs Shimano drivetrain which doesn't use UDH anyway. Most people don't want or need a heavy, expensive, battery powered derailleur on their DH bike.

It would be really cool if they kept selling the current aluminum demo with a poverty spec for people that don’t want to refinance their house. For what it’s worth that bike seemed universally liked.

I want to see Shimano release something developed from their 2019 internal "gearbox" patent. It had an even higher output shaft position and would make high-pivots easier to pull off without an idlers.

This Just In! Stark Motorcycles is going to be joining the MTB world with its EBike Called the Stark “NotaMoto”. This ebike has 80 horse power and a gear box. Apparently they made the decision to join the bike industry after one of the executives said- “ I mean its all bullshit. You can buy an ebike from Specialized at the same price as our motorcycles. But with like 1/1000th the power. We should just put mountain bike wheels on a Varg and just sell it to them. Theyre just in denial that they want a motorcycle and want to...

Intradrive Gearbox Powertrain Tucked away in a tiny little booth on a side row was Intradrive. Turns out they're a small Scottish company that's been developing an 8-speed gearbox-equipped motor for eMTB brands dubbed the GD8. Shifting is wireless electronic, there's a 480% range, and the motor can output up to 700w. The founder said that the motors are built and wound in Scotland and that vast majority of the parts and materials are sourced from Europe if not made in-house. There's an emphasis on serviceability, and the unit fits a Shimano EP8 mount pattern. The one on display used...

who failed ? The engineer who designed the caps for hexagon bolts? Or the fitter who just crammed in some Allen screws?

Yeah, professional sport is a business. I think it's clear that professional enduro has likely never been close to being profitable for most parties involved. Add to that changing trends and things happening in the industry and it's not surprising enduro is not doing well. It's kind of amazing WBD hasn't ditched it entirely yet and anyone is still trying. Maybe it's not as bad as I think it is, but if it is it's kind of amazing we get anything to watch at all. A few years ago I was given access to some of the financial, viewership and...

We all know enduro is past the "Golden Era" EWS days. I frequently reminisce the time period when we watched Richie Rude and Sam Hill dominating the field, and felt the community stoke for the sport at its peak. With the sad state of UCI enduro (only 5 teams signed up currently) I am curious to know what others think could/should be done to bring back the world's coolest sport. Is it purely WBD/Chris Ball(s) reducing this sport from its former glory? Or did the transition from EWS to UCI set everything on a negative trajectory? Would streaming events or...

My 2c - Clip E bikes, drop UCI sanctioning, take it to more interesting locations like the golden era & make the coverage part race review part destination / travel show. This would also allow you to pull tourism money from local governments in return for running an event in their area. Having some events integrated with Crankworx also seemed...

Don't undersell Specialized Chisel Evo. 130/110 bike. I swap between that and my 160/160 sentinel it it handles most everything the sentinel does, just different. I swapped bars and stem to more match the sentinel and give it a slightly slacker feel and running same tire setup on both . Geo feel between the two is surprisingly similar. I was a bit leery of the flex stays and was going to mainly be a local (around charlotte) bike but I've ridden pretty much everything in PNF on it as well and actually done a bit of bike park on it...

The Trek Fuel MX has been a great trail bike for me. Vanilla Core simple with good numbers, part spec and respectable price. Does everything well and nothing terribly. It seems like a bike that you could be happy with anywhere.
