I think it would be great if the Atherton bike line used Welsh mythology to name their bikes. Some of the pronunciation and spelling may need to be Anglicized for easier marketing but I think this branding concept can easily synergize with the other Atherton projects, like Dyfi Bike Park. Saw this earlier today...Disappointing. I don't know if USA Cycling is having a hard time securing venues or they just flat out don't care about the gravity discipline of the sport. Personally I feel like it is the latter. I say that because...last couple of years at the national championships...award presentation almost seemed like an inconvenience for the gravity athletes but you would think the XC athletes were competing in the Olympics. I mean...every XC competitor in every class...the award presenter practically knew their life stories. When it came to the DH guys...it was more like...here's your medal now get...

Have ridden and R&D tires for Michelin in the past for almost 10 years. I would bet the DH32 will be a larger air volume tire with larger lugs much like the old Comp32. Note: I do not ride for them now, but do ride for Continental Tires. The most successful DH tires of all time would have been the Comp16 and Comp32. All the DH racers back in the day ran them, even if they were sponsored by another brand. They would just mark out the labels and stick their sponsors stickers on them. They Comp16 and Comp32 also...

After all these months, it dawned on me that the thing we really shoulda been talking about here is how large Blenki's vertical leap is, even off a kicker. Gotta be at least a meter. Dude is up there. Maybe it's time for a WCDH combine?

Thanks for posting this spomer (and Brendog put it in his Insta story between run 1/2). I'm so pissed off about this... great Rampage overall but Brendog had by far the most unique line and was the most FREERIDE which is what they are claiming the event is, back tot he roots... the rock drop, GNARLY chute, canyon gap etc. Did he deserve to win? No, but that score should have easily been high 70's. You could tell by his reaction he was shocked by it. Glad Rheeder won but they are still overweighting jumps and features with massive highway...

The problem I see with above proposal is: Brendawg, (or whoever) is still gonna feel like someone #GotRobbed - because scores will still come from a single panel of judges......And keep in mind -you’re never gonna keep everybody happy either because: 1. the Freerider “purists” are gonna want to see who can straight air the most 60-90 ft drops. 2. The DH WC race fans wanna see who can fly down the mountain in 30 seconds or less 3. Slopestyle fans are gonna want to see who can Bike Flip 360 off the Oakley Icon Sender. - Really- they should...

Pinkbike's, erm, ”information” was pretty much a compilation of what people are talking around here since 15+ pages now. I am a bit surprised that they are trying to detour even this kind of talk to their site, when people are talking about it on Vital since Team Rumors first started; not that they haven't taken enough ”inspiration” from this site already. I really hope Eddie doesn't sign with Rebull. That would be a bummer. Now that he's a top 10 guy, Eddie needs a way more "bougie" helmet sponsor to fit his brand. I'm thinking something like Audi or Breville that fits in with the mid-30s enduro guy with his full carbon pivot on his kuat rack talking about how good his espresso is at home on the group ride.
