To Jeff's point, I think 200 mm is a bridge to far. In order to realize a 200 mm enduro bike, I think suspension technology would have to advance to the point where, forks/ shocks could change suspension travel 30-40 mm, on the fly, without effecting frame geometry or spring rate. Adjustable suspension in the past had to suck down...

Nice effort on that bike! While I'm the first to suggest "more travel" for the less-than-real pros out there, I do feel 200mm+ is a bridge too far, at least in North America. What you gain in forgiveness and your ability to take the straight line just about anywhere, you give up in finding speed through pumping terrain features. Plus, with that much travel, doubling certain features can be a challenge. Out of saddle sprinting efforts, too, are penalized. All that said, depending on your style it may just be the ticket! Saw this earlier today...Disappointing. I don't know if USA Cycling is having a hard time securing venues or they just flat out don't care about the gravity discipline of the sport. Personally I feel like it is the latter. I say that because...last couple of years at the national championships...award presentation almost seemed like an inconvenience for the gravity athletes but you would think the XC athletes were competing in the Olympics. I mean...every XC competitor in every class...the award presenter practically knew their life stories. When it came to the DH guys...it was more like...here's your medal now get...
