Man, what an event! Whistler and the whole S2S showed out. Hiked top-down for the race yesterday, and there were people almost the entire way down (even for Asa, where his POV had cheering almost T to B ). So accessible for spectators, with a path/trail pretty much the entire way down the track. The rock garden was so rowdy, probably the most "French" section, which resulted in my ears ringing after Gracey came through in the finals. US Open tracks have always been designed to be ridden by anyone that wants to enter so it caters to the masses just not the pros. A 13 year old kid can take a shot at beating AG if he wants. Killington was this way as well, it’s why it’s an Open race

After watching the Luca / Tyler helmet cam for Deer Valley, with all of Tyler's laughing and excitement, it had me questioning if this is one of the better race tracks we have in the US... Yeah the current course looks wide open, it fits the namesake of US Open. Would have been cool to see this guys ride Barney Rubble like the old NORBA course had and the rock drop into the ski piste.
