I’ve been surprised for awhile there’s not a crowdfunded racing team. Put a bunch of fan fave riders on a fan fave team and watch magic happen like it did when Moir, Dean Lucas, and Charlie Harrison were together on Intense. Would pitch in a few hundred bucks for Frameworks or Gwin Racing to pick up Dak. Surely there’s a bunch of folks willing to do similar. Could do it under the auspices of Vital Racing

I had meetings in Les gets with five teams, YT being one and I'll start by saying that Gunnar Franke (Team Manager) is one of the best guys in the pits running a great team with awesome riders and staff. However we (Nukeproof) don't have the budget to go from 'no team' to one of the best, and highest budget teams in the pits when today we are not even selling any bikes. I'm not a fan because of their speed I'm a fan because of their personality. Some you meet in person and you become a fan based on that interaction alone In todays world, if a rider was to have a bunch of KPI's to hit, winning a race is becoming a smaller part of the pie chart in my opinion. Especially when it's the same 2 dudes winning every round. Above was right, no one remembers who came 6th. They remember the infectious humor, or their style on track. A riders Value is more than a win now days.

I can't see that happening. Look at how much Richie has struggled, and he's generally stronger/healthier and had better enduro results. Don't get me wrong, I think he absolutely deserves to be on a good team, I just don't think switching to DH will help. The new crop of young DH kids are just too freaking fast.

I see it a little different. it would make sense to have someone that does their own promotion and sells merch to support their racing. PFR provides the bikes, the kit, the management (accommodations and travel), the mechanic (maybe), and a modest salary and Moi Moi can supplement with his other sponsors and the Moi Moi merch money. Not saying it is ideal for Moi Moi, but there are not too many companies out there throwing big money at enduro riders.

Not showing a crash (insulating people from the realities) won’t accomplish much for rider safety. It will definitely be better for the sport as people won’t be scared away from viewing. Many other sports have matured to be open and honest about the realities and dangers. It is nice, however, that they don’t replay the crash and zoom in on the lifeless athlete. That is a respect thing though, in my opinion.
