8/9/2025 2:17am With Mavens, the black pad spacer that comes with them is designed to work as a centralizer with the pads in. Pads in, thin side of the spacer between them, and there are 2 wings that extend out into the notch in the caliper. Another reason not to skip on the piston massage (using this piece) after a bleed, it gets the pistons advanced nice & even.

8/9/2025 2:14am Heck yeah, go @TEAMROBOT ! In case other people aren't as lucky to live close to Charlie, this guy makes pretty nifty 3d-printed blocks too, I've bought stuff from him and it's all worked very well: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1901682137/brake-maintenance-blocks-the-un…

8/9/2025 2:14am Ya I was puzzling out what to do about this issue, particularly since tire levers are not straight/flat surfaces. Luckily I live in the best timeline and TEAM ROBOT had me over to literally teach me how to do it top to bottom, let me borrow his SRAM spacer specific for the task, and then finish it off with cutting my bars for me lol Sometimes it pays to spend all day posting nonsense in Vital forums. What can I say, I'm lucky.

8/7/2025 3:41am Same here, bought Max specifically so I could watch WCDH. I'm not gonna get into the controversy that is the commentary and all that; the racing has been absolutely on fire. Really looking forward to the second half of the season.

7/29/2025 9:23am True, I didn't think of that. Although building great results in the ProDH series is probably a better career move in the long run, rather than spending thousands of dollars to get to Europe just to not make it to finals. She's fast, but probably not "make it to most world cup finals" fast. Although who knows. Andorra had 2 or 3 national jersey riders make it to finals in the Mens' field.

7/29/2025 2:36am Thanks for the link. Didn't try 'body'. Thought I covered it with armor and chest. Looks like more confirmation 100% is garbage, jackets are hit or miss, and chestys like the POC are a stand out favorite. Which considering Arcon is like the successor... I guess that's the move. I do wonder how people run it when they un-buckle it (or take it off) for climbs though. Just let it hang loose while still being on the back or something extra funky like... On the bars/frame/etc.

7/26/2025 3:27pm I'm been using them for 6 months and haven't punctured any less or more. Puncturing seems pretty arbitrary sometimes and a difficult thing to test with so many variable in real life. I've gotten flats in areas I've ridden through trails 100x's no problem but because a rock recently got kicked onto the trail I got a flat. I really wouldn't let this one test deter anyone from any tire.

7/26/2025 3:22pm Hard disagree. IMO, if you watch Hardline like a WC DH stop, you're going to be disappointed. If you watch is a more of an event than a race, and include all the practice and pre-race footage, it's fantastic. You get riders from all over the spectrum. Fast, really fast and WC winning fast, but also freeriders and trick riders and old heros. You get women who are pushing their limits and progressing the sport. Yes, at the end of the day, it's a race, but it's not about individual riders or teams or points. Everyone is walking the track...

7/23/2025 12:27am I have wider feet up front and for trail riding I have the Northwave spider 3, and for downhill i have Leatt 5.0. The Leatts are a bit wider than the Northwaves and the cleat can be positioned further back. I haven't tried as many Leatts but i believe they're pretty similar between models. Northwaves XC shoes are more narrow...

7/20/2025 11:50am I’ve heard other riders discuss it as well in both regards to video submissions and preparing for the event itself. It’s really hard to ride rampage-esque features. Not many other places in the world with that terrain. Even if you can find somewhere, that’s a hell of a time and money commitment to dig and ride. All that and maybe your still not selected.
