I can confirm the REEB SST works quite well with a coil. Did 40+ miles and 9500ft descending last weekend. It would benefit from 440+ stays but overall it rips!

I'm 90% certain I'm going to regret this thread and it will become old men yelling into an echo chamber about clouds, but here goes. Some of the comments sections, forum posts and general consumer feedback for recent product releases has me wondering about vitriol from consumers in this sport. I think we all realize that humans are at a wired tight moment for w/e reason... but to me it seems like we're on a path of increasing angst with regards to product releases. It all has me wondering if this is something that is more prominent in mountain biking...

Was just reminded listening to the OTB podcast that Neko Mulally did it in Cairns in 2014- crashed and got third. I went and looked at his Roots and Rain and it gets crazier! That was his best result ever at an elite World level event, and only podium at a World Cup. If we include World Champs, his only other podium was in 2014 in Norway when he got 4th... without a chain. Neko somehow performs at his best only under the highest pressure.

We already know his name as he's been making waves for some time already (which is crazy to say given that he's only 11 at present), but Weston Lukens aka " Wes_sends" is set to take the next step now as he has signed on with Neko Mulally's Frameworks program. They've developed a custom 24/26 mullet for him to ride, and by the looks of this reel, Wes is feeling at home on the new rig already. The future is bright...in fact, the future is now!

Not enough data points yet to determine if this is good setup or not. Reece's 2025 WC finishes: 6 missed finals and 22nd place average for the 3 finals he made. His best result came from Lake Placid, a new track that all riders had to puzzle over. What we could infer, is that Reece is a quick learner and can dissect new tracks better than many racers but that, eventually when all the racers catch up and learn the track, his avg race speed is still slower than the top 20. Long time lurker, first time poster here. For some background I’m an aerospace composites engineer and spent several years in Advanced Product Development with an emphasis on environmentally friendly materials. There’s so much to get into on this topic and if folks are interested I’d love to start a dedicated thread on materials and environmental impacts. The TLDR is, carbon fiber as a green product on its own is a fallacy.
