I'm pretty sure Mack Manietta is with Gen-S (the Specialized development team) and has been since early 2025. There was a press release last year that said Finn Iles would be playing a mentorship role with Mack. Here's a short video from last year where Gen-S announced it.

Maybe because the Jade is made at the SunTour factory, as the rest of the DVO products? I bought a SunTour TriAir a few years ago, and when I disassembled it to service it, the main piston wasn't anodized in SR Blue, but in DVO's signature green.

You can drop a Jade DH compression assembly straight in to a Voro so 99% of the shock is still Voro. Even the BV piston is the same, the main thing is a different low speed adjuster design and adding a High Speed adjuster to the shim stack

I would bet my whole fleet of bikes on it still being plastic bullshit that will break when a pixie farts 2 miles away. I think the only person more stubborn than the twinloc guy at Scott is the "maguras must be plastic bullshit" guy.

You're right, upon further review looks like it's just a jade with suntour stickers. Looks to be almost the exact same shock.

I've got a real rumor, Kasper Woolley is running a non standard Suntour Voro Coil on his zerode. Noticed while scrolling through my photos from the open this weekend. Lots of fast people running the Suntour stuff.

Might not be the common recommendation but I'm in love with Reeb Steezl. Great quality, super robust, pedals better than it should, mullet flip chip, external routing, straight seat tube. You can get 445 chainstay if ordered new with M size. Horst Link layout is quite predictable in its kinematics and easy to tune the shock for. Did I mention how quiet it is, especially with Onyx hubs? Funny enough, the guy that I bought the frame from snapped the chainstay on his new Rallon on a 3rd ride. I've had Bronson V4 and it just felt dead to me...

Wow, that looks so harsh. Tough young woman, though. She'll be back, hopefully for more wins in October. Gotta love her competitiveness. She smoked the other ladies in the top split. Congratulations to Gloria Scarsi! She's been such a presence in the women's World Cup field, and juuuusst missed that $100k payout. If Aleetha didn't win, she's my top pick! Brava!!

Aletha had a really scary scorpion crash on the rock gap drop into the berm. She was down for a while, seemed like she got the wind knocked out of her. I was honestly surprised she eventually got back on and finished up. Ana crashed in the same spot, got off easier but ended up through the tape below the berm. Skelton came up a little short and exploded her rear tire. Scarsi straight bossed the gap.

Race was super fun as a spectator. Kids had a great time. May not be the best track but some more Rocky Mountain/West coast races where you get to see top riders is awesome. Good vibes in the woods.

SRAM owes me royalties. I called it in June of last year.
