AA-Ron, you can well-actually-me any day when it comes to tires. I almost went cross-eyed picturing how the knobs interact with the ground moving vs. braking, but I see what you mean. Just updated the article for better clarity.

Not to get all “well actually” on you Schroeder, but… your braking traction actually comes from the backside of the knob so the ramping has no effect here. Those nice straight edges on the back of the knobs are what’s giving that good bite on a tire like the Tacky Chan or the DHR.

Love seeing 10 of the top 20 being BC. For us not having a real strong DH race series here in BC we have certainly putting out a strong crew of racers.

i asked neko this morning and he said that asa's priority for the season is world cup results. asa is free to race whatever he wants, but asa chose to sit this one out (can't blame him, consequences are pretty heavy going down here). he'll race rock creek next week.

By my calculations (could be wrong), 18 of the top 20 ranked teams earned their "spot" fair and square. It was only Cube and Yeti, ranked 20th and 21st who got wildcard spots instead of the slightly higher ranked teams of Rouge Racing and Goodman Santa Cruz. Tough times, but alot of stacked teams in there none the less

Joe just dropped this very interesting video, addressing the whole "steel is flexy" thing. The results are probably a bit surprising to some people, but after riding a Murmur for all of 2024 I can attest to the fact that the frame is no "wet noodle" - far from it. I've even tried Wayback machine as well as to see if there's an old cached version of a website that might have been updated/corrected, but nothing. Google aint no help either. I've rewatched the runs, Other than the drop, Asa is a smoooooth criminal, I watched a bruni run from last year and they are very similar. Jackson is quite active trying to generate speed due to him being a lil guy 🤣 We Gotta talk about how good Matt jones did and how much hes progressed, what about theo and his Stoke attitude... matt Has really generated a good following lately and watching him progress in Queenstown has been amazing to watch
