What a beautiful bike, that paint job is perfect. I'm used to homemade bikes looking like they came out of the apocalypse. This thing looks production ready.

Long chainstay bikes put more weight on the front tyre and allow you to drift/slide the backend more easily. You lean the bike more and slide the rear like a dirt bike. My 1349mm wheelbase bike is the best cornering bike I have ever had! For 180º switchbacks I just do nose turn/manuals.

Rumors are all done..but Max Alran has moved from Oakley to 100% goggles. Meaning he's the only rider on that team not on Oakley I think? Bigger question is when are the Alran's getting energy drink helmets 😂. One green one blue and silver?

The newer dh bikes seem to be moving towards 460 chain stays. This idea that short stays leads to more agility doesn’t make much sense to me outside of bmx/dj riding. Being active on the bike and being able to push into it with weight (traction/grip) on both wheels does make sense to me.

They are actually going backwards, ebikes happened to be 450mm+ for the chainstay length for years ...but lets not derail the conversation too much...

Just saw this from Jakob Jewett https://www.instagram.com/jakobjewett/p/DUoJT1GAQop/?hl=en I saw this guy win 1199 at Whistler a couple years back beating out both Dak and Luca Shaw but didn't see much of him last season, I guess this explains why. When this guy is on he's up there with the best. Some of the best style out there as well. I hope he can come back from this.
