One of the USAC people I spoke with was the one who worked with Monster on getting the USDH going. According to her, they're still in negotiations with all of their venues for next season. Shockingly, she also let slip that Killington is incredibly hard to work with and that's part of why the US Open went to Deer Valley, and they were really excited and easy to work with.

We all know the pressure is different in Elite, but that girl has kept her game wired tight this year.

well, the thing is my friend that Erice has an absurd raw speed, and if she is healthy she will be up there no doubt about it.. this is what teams look at, not the past results between injuries etc.. she is a bullet, nobody will fire her unless she comes back and does not show the same self she was.

You stick with her. Dropping injured riders is YT level. Don’t do that.

All this Deer Valley talk- Bart McDaniel’s winning the DS there over Lopes in ‘97 still stands up as one of the most exciting Saturday nights of my life. It was certainly a heck of a lot cooler than Bender’s huck in the parking lot earlier that afternoon. With the crowds of kids Utah can turn out to spectate, it’s a real shame that the USOpen crew quit running DS… The worlds simplest grass slalom is still so much cooler than a pyramid of giza sized whip-off jump.

Race Day Unc Chats from U.S. Open - such a rad crowd, vibe and race!

If you haven’t listened to the downtime with Shawn, it’s really great. I’m very impressed with the entrepreneurial mindset that they’re approaching the series (in some ways it’s a test case for the true potential money maker of their app and race coverage). Hope that collegeiate schedule coordinates a little better with them next year, as the Durango MSC race was the same date as the opening collegiate races at powderhorn, forcing a lot of gravity kids to choose between the two.

Dirt Fix with a mashup from the MSC final at Purgatory.

MSC deserves WAY more credit, attention, and applaud. Shawn and team doing beyond a phenomenal job

not in september.

Maybe another bonus for the Lake Placid World Cup race: Fall foliage! Travel and Leisure magazine says Priceline has named the Lake Placid region the #1 fall foliage viewing destination in the US for 2026. The World Cup activities will run from October 2 to 4, which looks like it might be when leaf colors are at or near their peak:

They’ve live-streamed all three stops so far, and the quality has gotten better with every round. Honestly, after watching the first round at Angel Fire, I thought they might have bitten off more than they could chew. The broadcast wasn’t great. But the livestream from Grand Targhee this past weekend was amazing. They showed full runs for most of the pros and even used picture-in-picture to show the start of the next rider’s run while the previous rider was still finishing. They had a drone at this event, too. Cam McCaul and Mikey Hader also do a great job on...

Hey DH community, We are working to add some west coast events to USDH by hosting a few casual UCI C1 races at our ranch this October. I put a blog post together and you can find it here: https://www.vitalmtb.com/community/judd%20de%20Vall/blog/08/15/2026/ent… We have more than $17k and 1,500 UCI points on the line for Elites this year. It’s fun (and challenging!) to put these together and we hope everyone is excited to come camp and race and support the series. Please spread the word. We will also be doing a C1 the week before Sea Otter in 2027. Hopefully the ranch...
