Erice absolutely rips, but I'll be shocked if Norco renews her contract once it's up. Has she even made it to a world cup stop as an elite yet? Two back to back season ending injuries before the season even starts is not a good ROI at all.
I'll be super curious to see how she performs if she can keep it together, but it's been a rough start to her elite career...

well, the thing is my friend that Erice has an absurd raw speed, and if she is healthy she will be up there no doubt about it.. this is what teams look at, not the past results between injuries etc.. she is a bullet, nobody will fire her unless she comes back and does not show the same self she was.
That's a bummer. I thought she was due for one. A 3rd last year and a 2nd the season before that but... I'm sure it felt like a monumental task every time.

Millie has had a ton of success on the Crankworx tour the past few seasons but that unfortunately never really translated to the WC. It wouldn’t surprise me to see her active in the CWX scene for sometime, likely a better pay cheque too when you’re winning those.
Based on Strava, Kasper Wooley was riding in Squamish on Sunday rather than being at the World Cup… not sure if that means anything. I’d imagine you’d be at the race supporting your team and stuff.

It’s easily possible to watch the race, hang out for a bit then go to Squamish for a ride .

I agree, but this was at like 2:30 PM. Ronan was at the top of the course during juniors, and Jonty was there with a cast on helping in the Yeti pits and hanging out... Maybe his injury history and unfortunate lack of results spells the end of his time on the WC. I do feel bad for him with the bad luck he's had.

Troy was in the just above the final drop, lots of guys and gals floating around the crowd. Nina hiked way up after her run to watch with the rest of us.
I drove straight into Creekside without any highway slowdowns on Sunday at 12:30pm, FWIW.
We drove up Sunday AM and rolled into Creekside just before 10am with zero traffic issues. I was kinda shocked. After the race and some wondering around the pits plus grabbing some snacks we found a small delay getting out of level 3 in Creekside. Went back upstairs ate some snacks and then zero delays. There was a usual slowdown at Murrin but nothing like a "busy" weekend in the Sea to Sky. Sunday getting to and from Creekside didn't even rate on my "Whistler Traffic" scale compared to many ski days.
Would really like to hear what the official numbers were. How many people uploaded the gondola? Then compare that to a busy Saturday winter ski day.
The scale of a weekend winter day is mind blowing. I’ve been at a few of the “busiest day evers” in the bike park and they’re positively mellow compared to a winter day. Put that whole finish line crowd on skis and that’s half the line out there at that symphony harmony whatever

You stick with her. Dropping injured riders is YT level. Don’t do that.

not sure about that, traffic being what it is on a race day. I would think this is Kasper's last year on a WC level team.
