Aletha Ostgaard wins US Open by 2.79 seconds over Camille Balanche to take the $15,000 first place cash. Aletha also wins the Hole Shot Award of $500 by having the fastest first sector time. I recently got the new Dissector v2 (MaxTerra EXO 2.4WT) aka baby Assegai and it is exactly something I always dreamt of for a short travel trail bike (140/130). I use my small bike for XC type riding in the rockies. Conditions are usually very dry, loose dirt and loose rock on top of hardpack. The side knobs are wide yet not too tall. This makes them very stable and gives you that DHF level locked in feeling during hard cornering. Lack of side knob stability was my main complaint with Forekaster v2 and this solves that. I know that today courses with alot of flow and huge jumps are the thing but I would love to see an all natural track come back. 2009 and 2010 Gravity East Series courses at Whiteface where winning pro time was 7+ minutes. Ask Neko how taxing these courses were! No machine work needed!

New rankings are out and Goodman has dropped to 18th. They’ll probably stay in that range after losing Pontvianne for the rest of the season. Rogue stayed at 15th after not scoring points in the last round. I could see Giant catching them as Rogue lost Simon Chapelet for the year and Daprela has a shoulder injury of some sort, didn’t start the worlds final or at Lenzerheide Scott could sneak into the top 15 depending on the YT situation. If you're risking your life at 10-12 downhill races per year, you get to celebrate any way you choose. That's it. If you want fast rolling with a good sidewall you could try a Schwalbe Wicked Will SuperTrail. The SuperTrail casing is more supportive than EXO+. It only comes in their SpeedGrip compound, which is firm and long lasting. Fun tire for all-day missions in the dry. I do wish they had it in Soft (aka not that soft).
