New Fox x Trek ShakeWeight ™ Thrushaft™ Reaktiv™ DRCV™ shock coming? Or AI slop employed by a service center too lazy to take their own shots? How did they publish this and expect to take anyone's money?

160mm travel conversion done....The 160mm travel fork with the 55mm travel link will give almost the same axle to crown height of the stock bike which is 609mm..... versus 606mm for the dual suspension combo.....interestingly I plan also to experiment with the full 200mm travel fork but using the 27.5 FOX40 lowers and a 27.5 front wheel as shown in the pic....this combo will give a axle to crown height of 625mm but with the 19mm ish smaller wheel radius etc.... and so conserve the bikes overall geometry but with 255mm total travel and see what that has to offer.

fwiw, for inverted forks, you clamp the upper legs to the stand and dont need to remove the fork from your bike at all ; )

Re-the torsional flex experience, there's IMHO a bit of brain adjustment required if you are used to the feeling of rigid forks like the 38. In my 1st week with the Essential, I was very aware of the difference between stiffer and flexier front hubs in the fork, and thanks to the USD lore, my mind was locked on the...

I have any way to predict that Fox is doing this, but I'd be interested if they went for less torsional stiffness on the new 40 crown. The Podium is supposed to be comparable to the new 36 in terms of torsional stiffness, and it feels great. Because the 40 crown is so much flatter, it looks like Fox was able to make the lowers longer, which would allow for more bushing overlap. I wonder if they're trying to copy some of the Podium magic by adding fore/aft stiffness with more bushing overlap while reducing torsional stiffness for better steering...

Agree on the Tacky, just like the dhf did not like it as a front tyre, loved it as a rear, but I think it rolls faster than a dhf as a rear tyre. Albert, it’s an Hans Dampf on steroids in my book, more braking, more grip, rolls a tad slower. Way better than the aggressor in everything but rolling perhaps, even though softer rubber and radial chasing make it roll better over roots and stuff than the hard rubber on the aggressor

FYI, if anyone else has 1 or more pair of worn out / destroyed Rapha knee pads with their excellent Rheon L2 inserts, I discovered that you can cram them into Fox Enduro Pro (the newer version) in place of the worthless Koroyd inserts those come with. The Fox sleeve feels a little bit more durable, but the Koroyd insert is a joke - no way I'd count on them doing anything for more than light trail riding (definitely not enduro-worthy). I've tried putting the Rapha inserts in Fox Launch Elite sleeves also, and that didn't work as well because...

The chain stay guard is identical to the lowdown and sticker placements also the same.

Eh I guess that's nice? Dissector was always an OK tire, not really better in any way than the Spec Eliminator. Do they last more than 6 rides? That's really what we all truly need to know. The Eliminator T7/9 grid gravity has been the burly, long lasting Dissector you've been wanting all this time. The new v2 Eliminator is more gravity focused than the old one. Better cornering and braking traction. Once I burn through my Spec tires I'm trying Contis to see if I've been missing anything.

I've heard through the grapevine the Transition proto we've been seeing is dual 27.5 and may or may not be bringing back a name that hasn't been used in a minute.
